There is this video on the YouTube, with some girl talking about numbers that scare her, and we cannot stop laughing:

That girl hearts Rand so so so much.
Almost as funny as Rand Paul begging Trey Grayson for an apology:

Hahaha. Cannot breathe.
This U.S. Senate race is awesome.

That apology video is several weeks old.
Obviously, you haven’t heard about today’s bickering (http://www.syracuse.com/newsflash/index.ssf?/base/politics-13/125865120679380.xml&storylist=politics): “Secretary of State Trey Grayson and Bowling Green eye surgeon Rand Paul, who are both Republicans, had a testy exchange on the issue of Guantanamo Bay. Grayson claimed that Paul on his Web site supported the closure of Guantanamo Bay. Paul retorted that Grayson needs to learn how to read. ”
Politics hasn’t been this interesting in years, at least on the Republican side. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

“…I’ve been paying his salary for the last 20 years for goodness sake…”
Memo to Rand:
1) Lived in Kentucky 20 years, eh? Can you produce that 1989 Kentucky Tax Return?
2) I’d be very interested to see what you were paying Trey for when you were 26 and he was, um- 17.

You’re right – IIRC, Rand said he moved to Kentucky in 1993. He was hopefully just rounding up.
“his salary” perhaps means the Secretary of State’s salary.
The problem with Trey’s complaint that Rand Paul is not a native Kentuckian is that Mitch McConnell was born in Alabama. Of course, many would say that because of that (and for other reasons), McConnell’s not qualified to be a US Senator either.
And it turns out that Rand Paul’s website did say that he favored closing Guantanamo Bay. Paul claimed some staffer put it in there without his permission.
I think this all means that Rand Paul is now officially a politician — and of course you know how you can tell if a politician is lying — if their lips are moving. :-)
I agree with Jake on one statement: This U.S. Senate race is awesome.
