Former state Rep. Steve Nunn was indicted on a murder charge Tuesday in the death of his former girlfriend, Amanda Ross.

Courtney Nunn, 25, went first before the jury, emerging from the closed session 46 minutes later with tears in her eyes and clenching a tissue.

She declined comment.

Later Mary Nunn, 28, took a brown folder with her into the jury room. She came out 41 minutes later and declined comment.

Nunn’s daughters may have been able to provide the jury with information about events before and after the shooting.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette Circuit Court on the 19th.
