Some of those high level employees where also the ones who decided which jobs to get rid of. But hey, the Budget Director needed to pay for that brand new 7 series BMW.

In regards to AOC; it's admission that these high level employees were not putting in a full day of work already if they have time to take on other duties. In other words, they were already over paid for what they were doing so why do they need a 20% raise? This exactly why there needs to be at least a little glimmer of transparency of what is going on in AOC.

Yet again Joe Gerth publicly declares for Mongiatardo by editorializing in his lead on a "news" story and then using modifier "only" to describe the amount of money the candidate took from his medical practice, as in "He accepted only $10,000 in salary from his doctor's office..."
Like DM deserves credit for that? Only ten grand? What's he doing to earn that ten grand? Treating patients in between getting his childbeardbride pregnant, dissing his boss, and lying to constituents? Because he sure isn't doing anything for Kentucky.
Regardless, a professional journalist or editor would not have used such a modifier in that context.
