Former Governor John Y. Brown has been selected as one of the top 200 business leaders of the 20th century by the Harvard Business School:
Brown grew Kentucky Fried Chicken from 600 to 3,500 franchises. Brown, alongside McDonald’s Ray Kroc, is recognized with launching the dynamic growth of the fast food industry.
Politics aside, this is something Kentucky can be proud of. Lately we haven’t had much positive news from our former electeds here in the Commonwealth. So this is a good thing. And it’s kind of a big deal in business.
UPDATE: The Herald-Leader has chimed in.
