		<description>I&#039;m still puzzled by the fact that it&#039;s perfectly OK for a KCTCS faculty member, an employee of a state university or a public school teacher to be a member of the General Assembly or hold any other partisan office, but a state executive branch employee working in the bowels of the CHR building or driving a dump truck for the state highway garage in Jackson County has to quit their job before they can even RUN for partisan office, ANY partisan office, even magistrate on the fiscal court. This is a double standard and should be eliminated, one way or the other.</description>
