A rare weekend post from the known homosexual…
Kim Geveden lied about Mongiardo campaign staff being allowed into Lt. Dan’s illegal at most/wasteful and unethical at the least functions on Friday.
He denied claims by Riddle that Mongiardo campaign workers were allowed in, saying the only Mongiardo campaign worker who attended either event was a video tracker at the Lexington event for the sole purpose of filming the Conway campaign workers.
Geveden also disputed Riddle’s contention that Mongiardo “barred” Conway’s staffers.
Unfortunately for Kim, those staffers were caught on video and Kim’s caught in yet another lie.
Here’s the proof from yesterday:
- What Does Daniel Mongiardo Have to HIde? [October 30, 2009]
- Hey, Lt. Dan, Which Is It? Public? Private? [October 30, 2009]
- Lt. Dan: Caught Red-Handed, On Video [October 30, 2009]
So, Gerth, what’s your excuse for publishing something you know to be untrue without providing facts for your readership?
Mongiardo’s campaign staffers – the tracker caught on-camera and Lauren Biggs – were allowed inside these $200/plate events. Along with the press. And you just ignore those facts? I mean, one of the kids was caught on-camera effectively saying that the KSP was protecting him – a campaign staffer. And you ignore the facts.
Good job.
Oh, P.S. The blonde lady? Beth Gallagher-Henninger, an employee of Tom Underwood at the Kentucky Society of Association Executives. Maybe you could dig a little there, too, Joe.

Jake,
You are absolutely correct Gerth hasn’t done any hard reporting for some time. A true reporter would have NOT taken Kim Geveden for his word and would dig to find out the truth, Dr Dan is WASTING tax payer dollars to fund and promote his pathetic campaign. Why the MSM doesn’t dig to find out the truth anymore flabbergasts me!

I think Joe does plenty of hard reporting.
This is just an instance where he left out more than half of the story.

Jake,
You are correct, but I also think during this cycle Joe has almost acted as Kim’s mouthpiece (EG:during SOB-gate he was published everything Kim said and then when the tapes came out he ignored them for two days)

OK as I see it there are two issues…
1. The tracker… If I hold an private event, that I pay for and I invite specific people, public figures or not, I get to say who does or doesn’t get to come. Lexington was clearly a fee based event and Jack’s crew doesn’t have the “right” to be their.
Even as far as the media goes, for example, it’s my right to let Joe Gerth in and not Ryan Alessi. That’s my business not anybody else.
All the video can prove it that a Lt. Dan staffer was in the hallway with the Conway staffer.
Jack’s crew of kids need to get over themselves. I was at the Hazard event and they stood three feet from Lt. Dan taping while he ate… while he ate. Tape remark that’s fine, public comments fair game, but that was harassment.
2. The release is more problematic. The piece of paper shown on the video is not readable – but I do see something wrong if he was using state resources to promote a campaign event. So far it is pretty clear that the Lexington event was not a campaign event, so no problem with that. Not sure about the London event.
The other problem with the release; was it a media notification so the media could come and hear him or a general public invitation? Since no one seems to claim it was the Lt’s event he has no business making a general public invitation, if he did. If he made the media aware of his trip I see nothing wrong.

E-
While you may be sipping the coolade that Kim and his bunch of lying wanna-be’s produce, I see three problems with what Dan’s crew did and what Gerth reported.
1) According to multiple people after Conway’s crew left the tracker and ANOTHER staff member for Mongiardos SENATE campaign went into the event without paying the $200 fee that the man in the tape demanded from Conway’s Crew
2) Gerth didn’t report that Dans campaign website CLEARLY is advertising the same event in London that the media advisory from the LG office advertised, if that isn’t campaigning on the tax payers dime I do not know what is.
3) With many instances of campaigning on the tax payer dime out in the public domain I find it disturbing that Gerth couldn’t dig deep and find the truth about the vile and disrespectful way Dan conducts himself as Lt. Gov.
Hank
PS Jake thanks for shining the light on the unethical things that Dan has done the past few months wasting our tax dollars!
PPS: E- The video also proves the state troopers are protecting CAMPAIGN staff and vouching for him that isnt right!!

Soapbox,
While you are right about having a private event and getting to choose who is allowed in the event, Dan’s crew made a mistake. The fact that Dan touted the event as a “healthcare forum” from his LG office says to me that the event is a public meeting funded by taxpayer dollars. Conways crew had every right to be there if it was funded by tax payer dollars, because Dan was campaigning for healthcare reform on the tax payers dime. Gerth didnt mention any of those facts he just was Kims mouth piece.

Maybe they had already paid?
