This is the Best Kentucky Can Do, Ladies?

October 29th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Earlier Jennifer Moore and Kathy Groob – OF ALL PEOPLE! – sent out a press release announcing their organization that will allegedly recruit women to run for political office: Emerge Kentucky, a chapter of Emerge America.

It’s a shame that Jennifer paid for anti-choice, anti-woman and homophobic mail pieces for Kathy while she was KDP chair.

Remember when Kathy got caught for anonymously attacking people on blogs for years?

Or when she started blaming everyone else when the facts were discussed?

Or when she lost her election – horribly – and Jennifer continued wasting money on a losing battle?

And now they’ve teamed up. How cute. (Wonder how many elections have been lost between the two of them…)

Not sure how it makes sense to put two of the most unsuccessful, partisan and politically destructive women at the top of an organization that’s supposed to promote women.

The following people should be ashamed for backing Jennifer & Kathy’s ego trip:

  • Martha Layne Collins (who once trashed Jennifer, openly, for snubbing Diane Brumback – what a hypocrite)
  • Crit Luallen (really – we thought she rooted out corruption?)
  • Jane Beshear (she’s married to it – what do you expect?)
  • Denise Harper Angel
  • Kathy Stein (hypocrite)
  • Robin Webb
  • Linda Belcher
  • Leslie Combs
  • Kelly Flood
  • Joni Jenkins (hypocrite)
  • Martha Jane King
  • Mary Lou Marzian (hypocrite)
  • Sannie Overly
  • Ruth Ann Palumbo (loves to blame domestic violence victims)
  • Dottie Sims
  • Susan Westrom
  • Carolyn Belcher
  • Jennifer Chandler
  • Teresa Isaac
  • Eleanor “Will Support the Highest Bidder” Jordan
  • Lillian Press
  • Mary Karen “Kiki” Stumbo (Really? After Kathy anonymously attacked Greg for years?)
  • Elaine Walker
  • Lois Combs Weinberg
  • Virginia Woodward

P.S. I love how 75% of the press release (Warning: PDF Link) was all about the resumes of Kathy and Jennifer. Great touch.

It’s a shame these women have allowed the two most ineffective politicos in the Commonwealth to head their endeavor. Now it’s just a waste of time and money.

Sorry, but the idea is one I’m sympathetic towards and if you want better leaders for it, that’s cool, but that’s not at all how you presented it Jake. Most of those women on that list are super duper people and I’m glad to have them in leadership positions across the state. I’m sure they are like me, and really like the idea of more women in elected positions so they signed on, even if the leadership was imperfect at worst.

Actually, that’s not the case. A few were involved before knowing that this was a money making scheme of Kathy Groob’s – that’s true.

But the rest got involved after the fact.
