Check out this tidbit from Paula Gastenveld’s lawsuit against KCTCS. She’s the now-former president of Owensboro Community and Technical College. Gastenveld sued KCTCS because she alleges that she was fired for questioning how Kentucky WINS funds were being used.
In May or June 2008, Gastenveld reported to the KCTCS Chancellor, Keith Bird, about serious concerns Gastenveld had about how money relating to a Kentucky state program for Workforce Development (Kentucky WINS) was being spent by OCTC in relation to a company called Titan Corporation located in Owensboro, Kentucky. Gastenveld reported her concerns to Mr. Bird regarding whether the expenditure of these funds to train Titan Corp’s employees was legal.
Mr. Bird called Gastenveld back, and told her that she was ‘right,’ but that OCTC could not ’stop it now’ because a high ranging official in state government wanted it to happen.’”
Gets more and more interesting by the day, doesn’t it?

There’s not a “Titan Corp” in Owensboro, best as I can determine.
There’s a Titan Fabricators, and a Titan Contracting.
Titan Corp is a software company and defense contractor located in San Diego, that was bought by L3 Communications a few years ago.
So, which Titan is it?
