So, kids, you remember how I accidentally lost all kinds of weight? Well… I accidentally lost a bunch more this year and now have about two dozen size 38R and 40R suits and jackets to give away. What charity should these go to?
Bob Dole outs naysayer Mitch McConnell. [Kansas City Star]
The Obama Administration yesterday awarded Kentucky an additional $26 million for the state energy program. The funds will help reduce energy use and carbon pollution, improve energy efficiency and create green jobs. [Press Release]
We missed this feature from Washington, D.C. about Daniel Mongiardo’s hot mess last week. One of D.C.’s hottest publications details the schism between Mongiardo and Steve Beshear and goes on to detail the entire ordeal. [The Hill]
Will the Kentucky press let the Mongiardo mini-appointment/hiring scandal go down without some checks and balances? No, they won’t, thankfully. The Courier-Journal has already written about the mess and the Herald-Leader is all over it as we speak. [Bluegrass Bulletin]
Damon Thayer and Jim DeCesare are pushing for transparency in government. Unfortunately, there push doesn’t go quite far enough. [Bluegrass Politics]
The Obama administration hosted the Clean Energy Economy Forum with business leaders yesterday. Dozens, if not hundreds, of businesses and groups were represented at the forum. But not a single one was from Kentucky. Interesting that the crew in Frankfort didn’t think it was a priority to get Kentucky representation for the event. Primarily because there are tons upon tons of “green” businesses in the Commonwealth. Blows our mind. [Press Release]
Looking for flu myths and facts? Get them straight from the gubmint. [Flu dot Gov]
Barack Obama is going to deliver a “major” gay rights speech. How crazy will people go? What will he say? [HuffPo]
Eleanor Jordan and Virginia Woodward, both professed proponents of fairness and equality, are still supporting Lt. Dan. Kinda funny. In 2007, Eleanor supported the Lunsford-Stumbo ticket because we buttered her bread. Can’t imagine why she’s supporting Mongiardo now, can you? [NKY Politics]
It’s interesting primarily because Lt. Dan is anti-woman. And he ran television commercials in 2004 that proved it. [Barefoot & Progressive]
Jack Conway finally flip-flopped and has decided to pretend he doesn’t support cap and trade. [WKYT]
