President Barack Obama today named John McCauley as Executive Director of Kentucky’s Farm Service Agency at the USDA. According to a press release, McCauley was the managing member of JWM Consulting Service for seven years, was director of the Division of Pesticide Regulation in the state Department of Agriculture in the 90s and was on the Governor’s Commission on Literacy five years prior to that. He’s also worked in the Kentucky Labor Cabinet and for the general assembly. [Press Release]
