Soon-to-be-former Louisville Metro Councilcritter Doug Hawkins (R-Protector of Our White Women From the Mexicans) apparently can never, ever keep things in check. Especially when it comes to his official Metro Council email system. Apparently he still can’t get anything right.

Last Monday he sent out an email blast from city computers proclaiming that his personal website was the place to be for local news in Louisville. We thought it was cute and immediately dragged that sucker to the trash bin. Because, well, we already have plenty of tan in a can and don’t need no protectin’.

Then we got this email from a pal out in the state:

Date: Tue, 15 Sep 2009 14:12:55 -0400

As you can see, this message below was sent to my state email account. I’m nonmerit so that’s not the problem…just wondering why a Louisville councilman is sending this to someone who doesn’t know him and doesn’t (and hasn’t ever) live in Louisville.

Are other state employees getting this? Is he sending it to a global list somehow? I don’t care enough for you or anyone else to expend the energy to find the answers but just wondered if others have mentioned randomly getting this.

So, dear readers, did anyone else receive Doug Hawkins’ email blast at a state email address? Anyone outside of Louisville receiving it?

Nice to know Hawkins is just randomly hacking together various email lists to spam.
