Disagree with you about the half-staff flag for Senator Kennedy. Kentucky Democrats should be reverently watching the memorials to him and searching their souls as to why in the hell they lost their way along the road to his goals.

Loretta beat me to it. Ted Kennedy spent 47 years crafting and shepherding through Congress legislation without which Kentucky’s disadvantaged would be far worse off than they are now.
Ted Kennedy almost single-handedly stopped Reagan from eliminating the minimum wage. Do you really think WalMart would be paying more than a buck an hour now?

Yellow Dog, Funny Wal-Mart pays MORE than minimum wage now, Starting out. So YES Wal-Mart would pay more than $1 as they pay more the Teddys beloved accomplishment. He was there for 40 some odd years so maybe you can fly half staff. Don’t however laud his accomplishments for Kentucky because after all the handouts we still are in a race for last place with places like WV and MS. TK simply wasted money and avoided bridges.

My question is, would Beshear have done this for a GOP senator? Say, Collins or Graham or even McCain? My answer is, I seriously doubt it.
