That’s right, it’s Rick Pitino and Paul Patton. If only we knew then what we know now, right? Quite interesting.
Chatter amongst yourselves.

If I remember correctly, Pitino supported Forgy over Patton in 1995, then angered the same Republicans he’d endeared himself to by that ‘95 support by welcoming Clinton to Kentucky in ‘96, which many saw as a de facto endorsement of Clinton over Dole.

“Fallen KY Icons Burst Their Protection”
Patton was two years ahead of Pitino in the KY anti-integrity campaign. Two peas in a pod–they both gave rousing “I Have Sinned” speeches, if more secular than religious. (And I thought Rick was a devout Catholic.) As Paul put it, “An overseer must be above reporach” (1 Timothy 3.2).

Other people in the photo? I was looking for Tina Conner, but apparently this didn’t have anything to do with nursing homes or Medicaid. :-)
