For a guy that had to be restrained at Arkansas after the pep band played the "Godfather Theme" when he arrived; and the coach that challenged a fan to a "fist duel" because he was asked not to pound on the computer equipment at scores table; and the coach that got so upset at University of South Carolina when he was referred to as a "Yankee"---Wonder how he will handle the "cat calls" at Rupp Arena, the "gator chops" at Florida, and the general ridicule when he enters arenas across the USA. There will be a lot of new "names" for him that will surely make him like "Benedict Rick" or "Traitor Rick" much better than he has in the past.

In my opinion Rick had alot to do with her marriage to Tim and the marriage was fixed. Tim was Rick's robot and probably never really LOVED her and was only doing what he was told like a puppet. I think this is horrible as she states she loved him and then it sounds like she realized at some point that Tim was in on some o of the events and then filed for divorce.

Also, is it just me or did Rick start the extortion by giving her money to do certain things or he would do something to her family? So why is she the only one getting flack for an extortion plot?

They both sound a little "off" to me.

Sounds like an overblown non sports situation. He handled it as best as can be done. She handled it well until the recent extortion attempt. Why did she do that? Get on with life.......move on.

Carry on......keep coaching....... no reason this should have anything to do with his job.

I'm Mayor Happy Pants, you know me, the Mayor of the 16th largest city in the USA or is it 26th. We can't exactly tell the truth now can we. The census says we are 26th but I say we are 16th in population. I just know we passed 700,000 in population but I can't seem to keep the city budget intact. We have been trying to do this by paying little Chief White an extra 80,000 or so a year. By allowing people to double dip in the retirement funds. By having 4 deputy mayors. Oops, one resigned and the other passed away. So now we have one. We have to get rid of Otter Creek. Close down the pools. Not to mention books and computers on the bottom floor of the library so they can get destroyed. Oh well, its just money. Somehow we are always in the red in finances.
Its ok though because I know you will all step up though many are losing houses and jobs. We will find you a minimum wage job and you can still pay that 800 dollar house payment. Just work harder because I know I do every day. After all, Louisville, I do love you very much. We only have 11000 homeless people what is one more or a thousand more. We only have people working at minimum wages day by day with no benefits or real security despite being responsible.

Somehow we can go for years without paying overtime to fire fighters and policemen and policewomen but we can give Cordish 950,000 plus Centre City. How about 238 million for the arena. Its going to be Grand, The Cordish Centre. Not to mention it will even have a King Pavillion where I can have statues of me and my buddies about what great things we did.

It doesn't matter that I sit on the top of the Louisville Water Board or practically every other board I can get my well manicured nails into. It does not matter that 25,000 good paying jobs have left my city since 1990. It does not matter that I got 5000 box flipping jobs at part time pay and no benefits. Did you know Louisville that you can get a job at this great box flipping organization making 8.50 an hour for about 20 hours a week. Or the fact that we are losing jobs to Indiana with our tax base shrinking.

Or the fact that a 121 year old company C. Lee Cook is moving to Jeffersonville. Or how Clarcor moves is 250 plus workforce to Jeffersonville. Or how 125 people are moving their jobs to New Albany.

All it matters is that I sit here in my throne wearing my rainbow colored spandex Jerryman outfit touting my economic development initiatives. Which includes more retail, bars, and low wage jobs. What is even more lovely is my approach of spending 1 billion plus on downtown over the years and yet our outlying suburbs are having worse roads and infrastructure problems.

I allowed Bud Schardein to continue to run the MSD and basically spending the MSD into debt that is increasingly unpayable. Or the fact that debt is 2 billion dollars but our streets still flood all to hell and thousands of homes and cars are destroyed. I'm more impressed with my tights and costume. I've been pretending to be the mayor since 1985 but the city is in decline but you will never dampen my optimism.

I've done a great job and I love you Louisville. I love you more than life itself and I will always have your best interests in mind although I have given millions to Cordish and millions more to Centre City and for all these other grandiose projects that never come to fruition like Museum Plaza. After all, you firefighters dont need the money. Nor the police. Nor all you working folks that make 10 to 20 dollars an hour if you still have a job. The streets don't need the work because we have the best road network this side of Lubbock and you can bet your bottom on that. We are Possibility City but thousands of college graduates here are having a hell of a time finding jobs. Thousands more are working at substandard wages. Thousands have left for other cities. After all, though, we are still all Kentuckians and being 45th in income among the states is still not bad. Its still better than Mississippi and West Virginia. By the way, I was in West (By God) Virginia telling them how having a Metro Government is so good. After I dissed the black folks and the poor old people. Its all good though because I went to look at flood damage caused by my friend Bud and his staff. We just don't have the money to replace your stuff but we need federal grants to pick up our stuff and rebuild it. So it can get flooded again and we can request more federal aid. Its ok, after all its just money and you can afford more taxes.

Just remember to vote for me in November 2010 so I can be your Lieutenant Governor and help to run the state the rest of the way in the black hole it is hovering above. Its ok because I am sure that my mentor Governor Besheared will get things working in the right direction.

Meanwhile, all you folks who are unemployed and out of benefits need to get down to the local low wage employer and get you job chucking burgers across the counter. Even if you get your 20 hours a week and 7.25 an hour, its a great life isn't it. Just make sure to take Dr. Troutmans health initiatives seriously and my man Dan Johnson is taking trans fats out of your food. Those cigarettes are not good for you either. You better get back to your healthy ways such as riding your bike and walking to your minimum wage job. Because that is what makes Louisville a real possibility City.

I love you and remember to vote for me in November 2010.

Love you,

Any rumor of this situation being financed with proceeds from Cordish contracts are false. I want to assure the citizens of Metro Louisville that while I may be running for Lt. Governor, I'm still the mayor of this town and that mean's I'm in charge here.

Just like me, Rick Pitino has his detractors--those people who can't stand to look at a long career based on successful strategy and winning plays. People don't want to look at the big picture. Noooo! They want to focus on the little picture. The snapshot. The moment in focus. They look through their little peephole and see what they THINK is the truth, what they THINK is reality! But because they're looking through that little peephole and that's all they can see, they can't step back and see the great, glorious Big Picture of everything you've done, all that you've worked for and everything you have brought to this great city!

Those people are ungrateful! They are the ones who should be on trial! When I become Lt. Governor, I'm going to make it illegal to criticize those who are greater than you. There needs to be a law to stop criticism in the Commonwealth, and I'm just the guy who can make that happen!

Elect Jerry Abramson Gov...er, Lt. Governor! Let's stop this silly news cycle and get back to the things that really matter in this town: ME!
