Daniel Mongiardo, in his never-ending attempt to use the government press release system, has issued an eight-paragraph statement indicating that he’ll be attending – wait for it – a concert.
Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo will join thousands of country music fans and ATV enthusiasts in Crocketsville, Ky. on August 22 and 23 when music and dirt come together for a good cause.
The Second Annual Halfway to Hazard Charity Concert and Trail Ride to support Buckhorn Children’s Center incorporates ATV trail riding adventure and sizzling top name country music in a family-oriented event that drew over 7,000 participants last year.
“Giving back and helping those in need is one of my top priorities as a public servant,” said Lt. Governor Mongiardo. “I am honored to be a part of an event that is able to showcase the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of Eastern Kentucky, all while making a huge impact on the lives of disadvantaged youth.”
On a related note, Joe told us all about that mess here.
All right for being so tough that you need to issue a press release about going to a concert where you’ll ride four-wheelers and such.
Absolutely great use of government resources.
Lt. Dan the Hypocrisy Man is so tough he let his campaign/people close to his campaign put together this video of Jack Conway:

So tough!

If Jim Pence had any class at all, he’d file a copyright claim against this homophobic mess and get it pulled from Youtube.
Absolute bullshit. Absolute, total, complete, FUCKING BULLSHIT.
We’re 15 months out, candidates. GET. YOUR. FUCKING. GAME. FACES. ON.

DUD,
Read my mind completely. I tried to calculate how many plaintiffs could sue for copyright violations, but this video…fair use, yeah right.
And as far as insinuated homosexuality/femininity, I recall hearing a tale of a certain Judge-Executive telling a certain candidate and current statewide officeholder a few years ago “Goddamnit (candidate), you need to get yourself married, because you look like a f*****g q***r.” I’d leave it to you to guess which Judge-Exec is alleged to have said this (I wasn’t there), but it shouldn’t take too long.
Regardless of that statement, manliness is not a smart issue for the Mongiardo camp to raise.

I like the blond jack better. Jake you should do a poll and see which hair color people prefer. Blond, Brunette or may he should try Red. :-) too funny. Uh let me guess Mike Miller?

Honestly, I think his hair color depends upon sun exposure and the length.
I’ve seen him with both lighter and darker hair depending on those factors.
If it’s a dye job, I’d be highly surprised. Being a known homosexual, it is my duty to spot dye jobs from 100 yards.

This has Kim Geveden’s fingerprints all over it. From the faux screenname (he used a similar one last year during the senate race) to the production.
And I’d imagine that Jim Pence knew about it – cause there’s no way he’d allow his footage to be used without filing a complaint with Google/YouTube – which would immediately yank it down.

I agree, the blond Jack is the best. I wonder if the carpet matches the drapes? :)

I’ve heard the Mike Miller story too, but I wasn’t there either…think it happened in ’04 at KenLake.
My favorite Miller story that I witnessed firsthand has to be at a semi-private Bruce Lunsford campaign event (not a fundraiser). Lunsford was giving a speech to a small group of about 20-25 party activists. Lunsford was discussing recent developments in the race. Went something like this (ad libbing for Lunsford):
Lunsford: “The voters will have a choice between me and the policies and inaction of Mitch McConnell. (pause) Oh, there was a candidate who jumped into the race a couple of days ago as a Libertarian, who starred in some porn movies in the 1970′s.
Mike Miller: “It’s not ‘Big John Holmes,’ is it.”
(Room bursts into laughter)
Lunsford (laughing): “No.”
Miller: “Well, we’re OK then.”
I’d take a superficial flesh wound for that man, he tells it like it is.
And as for Dan…going scorched earth 15 months before the election usually doesn’t signal strength, rather desperation. And if this is indeed the Mongiardo’s campaign of scorched earth, I think I could do better and have more fun doing it.

More evidence suggesting Kim’s involvement: He’s called up several media outlets – voluntarily – to laugh about the videos/say he’s not involved. Who does that? Ha.
At least one statewide newspaper decided to write a story about viral videos as a result.
It’s called Mongiardo Desperation, ladies. D-e-s-p-e-r-a-t-i-o-n.

I bet Jack’s dad made him change his hair color.
