NOTE: For the second time in two months, the Mongiardo campaign has sent out an email blast to its subscribers twice in the same day. The first time with the subject “Master Template” and the second with the headline “Mongiardo Wins Fancy Farm!” All right for having your zero control of campaign messaging.
Daniel Mongiardo’s latest email blast may be a grammatical nightmare, but let’s take a look at the content of his message.
At this past weekend’s legendary Fancy Farm picnic, I shared my passion for standing up for working families, protecting Kentuckians from unnecessary energy costs, and fighting for healthcare reform.
By protecting Kentuckians from unnecessary energy costs, we suppose he means literally subsidizing coal to the point that the Commonwealth doesn’t even break even.
By passion, we suppose he means never showing up to work?
As Al Cross points out, my differences with Jack Conway go beyond which words we find appropriate to use at a church picnic. Jack supports “cap-and-trade,” which will increase the cost of coal-resulting in higher electric rates and the loss of thousands of jobs. Like Governor Beshear, l oppose “cap and trade’ because it will hurt our families and our economy.
Again, distorting Jack Conway’s position on cap and trade. Conway says he’ll only support the legislation if there are protection measures put into place to protect Kentucky’s interests. Yet Lt. Dan continues to spread it on thick by lying and distorting.
Many support me because I have been Governor Beshear’s partner in cleaning up Frankfort, expanding children’s healthcare, and making progress in difficult times. Many of those who supported Governor Beshear and me in 2007 have joined Governor Beshear in endorsing my candidacy for US Senate this year.
Hilarious! Governor Beshear’s “partner”? Hahaha. Absolutely hilarious that Mongiardo is the only person who continues to mention Steve Beshear in reference to the U.S. Senate campaign. Beshear and his staff always refuse comment consistently run away when faced with questions about Mongiardo.
Suppose by “partner,” Mongiardo is referencing the time Governor Beshear removed him from the e-health committee and the adventure tourism committee– the two main issues of Mongiardo’s candidacy?
You’ll definitely want to read the rest of this hot mess after the jump…
And others support me because as a doctor, State Senator, and Lt. Governor, I have been a leader in improving healthcare.
Again, how can he be considered a leader in improving health care? He got removed from the e-health committee by his own governor.
I believe that my background and experience explain my double-digit lead in the polls over Conway.
This takes the cake. Total hilarity that Mongiardo continues to tout a poll that has not only been debunked by the entirety of the mainstream media– but other polling firms. An internal push poll conducted with a tiny sample and huge margin of error does not a victory make, sweeties.
But I will hand it to Jack; his ability to raise significant funds from New York to California gives him advantages in running a campaign that I simply do not have.
Again, with the hypocrisy. Attacking Conway for raising money all over the place– never mind the million bucks he raised right here in Kentucky. $125K in Mongiardo’s own back yard. $125K in northern Kentucky. Yadda yadda.
Funny that Lt. Dan continues to harp on Jack’s elitist city friends while holding fancy fundraisers in the elitist city of Anchorage. While trotting around with millionaires like Kevin Grangier.
P.S. Jack’s outburst at Fancy Farm calls into question his judgment, but ultimately we will be judged on the positions we take and the values we stand up for. Your contribution will allow me to put forward my views on the critical issues that need to be debated in this election.
Let’s talk about judgment for a moment.
Remember the illegal DANPAC?
Remember getting kicked off the two committees upon which he built his entire campaign?
Remember losing his State Senate seat immediately after being elected Lt. Governor because he was entirely weak in his own district?
Remember the time he shouted at the Kentucky Young Democrats that an atom bomb was going to go off and everyone would move beneath the Louisville Zoo?
Remember the time he built and pushed SB 245 and then spent five years trying to pretend he had nothing to do with it?
Remember that night he spent in a hotel room with College Democrats?
Remember that time he got a job for a young lady named Courtney he allegedly once had a relationship with?
Remember that time he got dumped by powerful and awe-inspiring radio queen Francene in a very public way for being totally jacked up?
Remember that time he bought alcohol at a public event for his underage then-girlfriend?
Remember that time he was fined by the Federal Election Commission for violating campaign finance law by lying about the amount of his debt?
Remember that time at last year’s Wendell Ford Dinner when he praised Glenn Beck and said he was a fan?
Remember that time while debating Robbie Rudolph he said gay people shouldn’t be allowed to provide health insurance benefits for their domestic partners?
Remember all the occasions he’s promoted mountaintop removal?
Remember the time he was so embarrassingly dumb that LEO called him intellectually lazy?
Remember that time he appeared on The Tonight Show with some Hooters girls and totally embarrassed the Commonwealth by knowing nothing?
Remember that time he let his campaign staff kick Diane Brumback out of an event?
Remember the embarrassing interview he did with Joe Sonka that Jim Pence continues to hide?
Remember the time he stood laughing behind Ernesto Scorsone during the SB 245 debacle?
Remember all the times – during this campaign – that the FEC has launched inquiries into his behavior?
Remember that he’s accepting a monthly housing allowance?
Remember when he posed with a group of pro-lifers during this very Democratic primary?
Remember the time he let his incompetent campaign manager have his entire campaign strategy, budget and plan leaked?
Yeah. Let’s talk about judgment for a minute.

I’d like to address Gov Steve “one termer” Beshears loyalty to HIS selected running mate. One termer like every governor I can recall back to my youth has not supported their Lt gov.
Beshear failed in loyalty department completely. Once the campaign was over so were the shouldr hugs and hand shakes.
Beshear wil do the same thing to ole Jer if they win reelection. The problem there will be abramson is used to being the shot caller and front
Why doesn’t Beshear show support to his Lt Gov. If he thinks Mingiardo was incompetent to be his Lt. then that shows One termers judgement abilities.
I’m not a fan of any candidate but I can’t stand it when a person picks someone as their running mate and then totally dismisses them after the election is over. And every Governor seems to do that.
If Fletcher had listened to his Lt gov, he might still be in office.
Not showing loyalty to people YOU select as your running mate is piss poor and Abramsom should look to be useless to Beshear too.

It’s pretty ironic how many grammatical errors there are in this article… I guess it’s not so rare to make mistakes in proof-reading…
“huge margin of error does not a victory make, sweeties.”
In case whoever wrote this never learned in 8th grade English, this is not a full sentence:
“While trotting around with millionaires like Kevin Grangier.”
And it’s directions that are not capitalized, not geographical areas– it should be Northern Kentucky:
“northern Kentucky”
Hmm… I guess the kettle’s calling the pot black…

Ha – all right for density? If you’ve read this site more than once, you know we don’t strive for complete sentences and have our own slang of sorts.
And I never capitalize “northern Kentucky” or “eastern Kentucky.” Because this state is too regionalized and separate as it is.
That said, when you read his entire email, it’s clear that a drunken ape wrote it. Misspellings galore, double negatives all over the place.
Thanks for reading.

Northern Kentucky is the commuter school in Highland Heights.
Eastern Kentucky is the party school in Richmond.

Hey now, pick on Mongiardo and Conway all you want, but don’t diss the “Party School”.
:)
Both of these wieners would be better folks if they attended EKU.

I’m a Morehead alum. It’s against my religion to say nice things about EKU or Marshall.
