You know, we’re all for supporting Robin Webb, but, uh…

Listen to her first radio ad:

Yeah. Not sure what to think about it but it certainly doesn’t leave us with an idea that Webb is someone we should be voting for on any particular date. The only thing we know is that Jesus lifted a big rock off of her in some coal mine or maybe it was a fancy story she wrote, we can’t tell for sure.

And “Christian” values? That’s something that could be easily spun. Especially after all Republican Party mudslinging and personal attacks against her in recent weeks. Hopefully the situation will play out a lot like this.

Doesn’t the Kentucky Democratic Party realize it’s probably not the best idea to use a Miley Cyrus video on Webb’s campaign website in an attempt to promote her candidacy? Something tells me Cyrus’ record label wouldn’t give permission for her work to be used in a political campaign. Let’s hear it for the start of amateur hour.

Is the Beshear bunch already messing this up for her?

It’s not entirely inconsiderable that the Webb campaign got permission to use the song. Billy Ray’s dad, Ron Cyrus was the longtime State Representative from Greenup County if I recall, which is part of SD18.

That being said, it is probably “the start of amateur hour,” and I somehow doubt that the later generations of the Cyrus family are intending to make an effort for Robin Webb…although it certainly wouldn’t hurt.

Exactly which taxes did she “hold the line” on? It wasn’t those found in HB 144, the cigarette and alcohol tax increase bill from the 2009 session, if you were wondering. So which taxes could she be talking about?

    Speaking of hypocrisy…

When you gonna speak publicly about leaving the Bluegrass Institute and then only working for that kook Rand Paul because you need a job?

And what about that time you went to Frank Simon’s fancy dinner gathering in an attempt to “get email addresses” ??

    Oh, the hypocrisy.

    Polling shows Webb comfortably ahead.

Charlie Borders would have never had this seat if Judge Gallenstein and a few others on the KDP-SCEC had supported the previous Democratic nominee. But, they didn’t. Somewhere in my files is a letter from one particular member of the SCEC complaining that Gallenstein’s non-support of Allen was a violation of the KDP By-Laws since Gallenstein was a member of the SCEC at the time but the Committee never took the issue up. Someone should go to Gallenstein and make sure he is on board for the Democrat this time. Webb may not think that Gallenstein and Mason County are necessary, but that would be a mistake.

That commercial is so generic it could be used by every politician who EVER wants to run for office. Just change the situation and name. BOOM, you have a political commercia.l

Jake, why couldn’t you answer David’s question? I’m no Paul supporter, but it looks to me like you didn’t have an answer and resorted to taking personal swipes at David.

Do you mind answering it for us?

(I haven’t been near a computer in nearly 20 hours.)

Uh, maybe because David wasn’t asking that question of me? If you bothered to actually READ the story, you’d realize I was taking a swipe at the idiocy of Webb’s ad and pointing out the hypocrisy contained within. But I know that’s asking a lot of you… to bother reading and bother using context clues.

David, however, is the last person I’d expect to point the hypocrisy finger – and that’s why I asked him two questions. Hardly personal attacks. He’s just consistently full of it.

Fine, so you can’t answer the question. But once again you prove that you revert to personal attacks. I read the story, where in it did you say anything about Webb’s stance on taxes? You didn’t.

I gave you an out in my last comment– a chance not to come off as completely ignorant, but I guess you aren’t going to take it.

So let’s just say it: Read the fucking letter. If you need, I’ll call you and read it to you. Word-by-word. And will even provide definitions of each word.

My story was an attack on Robin Webb. I pointed out the rank hypocrisy and idiocy of her stupid advertisement.

Why would I address her faux stance on taxes when I’m making fun of her?

Really, who in Ashland let the mouth-breathers on the internets machine?

It would be clear to anyone – even someone functionally retarded – that I’m hardly a supporter/that David Adams wasn’t asking me that question… because he recognizes I’m not a supporter. Namely because I was pointing out the hypocrisies of Webb’s ad – which David, himself, was further pointing out.

Jesus H. The stupid. It hurts.
