Like clockwork, here’s what the Mongiardo camp released:
BESHEAR’S DIRECTOR & DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT TO RUN MONGIARDO FIELD OPERTAIONS Richard “Dick” Prelopski and Floyd Seals, who ran 2007 Beshear field operation, to set up Mongiardo statewide field operation in every county

FRANKFORT – The Mongiardo for U.S. Senate campaign announced today that Beshear 2007 Campaign Field Director Richard “Dick” Prelopski and Deputy Field Director Floyd Seals have joined the Mongiardo Campaign as Field Director and Deputy Field Director respectively to set up Mongiardo’s statewide field operation.
“Dick and Floyd worked tirelessly successfully organizing the state for Governor Beshear and I during our 2007 campaign. Building on our winning 2007 campaign, we are eager to get to work building an even stronger grassroots organization to help get our message out that Kentucky needs a Senator who will stand up for Kentucky’s working families,” said Mongiardo.
“I’ve worked with Governor Beshear for over 25 years and we’ve been friends for even longer. I’m grateful that he’s given his blessing to my new position working for Daniel and I’m looking forward to reaching out to Kentucky voters on behalf of electing Daniel Mongiardo as our next United States Senator ,” said Prelopski.

What’s it mean when two GOLD staff members leave to work full-time on a campaign that’s likely to lose? Does it mean they were forced out?
We hear from the Governor’s staff that they asked Steve Beshear for a quote and he refused to provide one.

An astute reader just pointed out that $8,000 x 10 = 1000 points in the Louisville television market.
Hello, campaign overhead!

this is nit-picking, but does everything they put out have to be grammatically incorrect? Is that some sort of good old boy strategery?
“…sucessfully organized the state for Governor Beshear and I…”???
