It’s official. Everyone is beginning to jump ship from the Kentucky League of Cities.
The Henderson City Commission just voted to withhold its 2010 membership dues until reforms have been made.
In the wake of a Lexington Herald-Leader investigation into exorbitant travel and meal expenses by the organization that lobbies for cities and provides insurance services, the commission voted to withhold its 2010 membership dues until reforms have been made.
No clue what they want those “reforms” to be, though.
It’s only a matter of weeks until State Auditor Crit Luallen releases her audits of the KLC and KACo. And only time will tell just how much damage has already been done.

Ryan Alessi hit another home run with his KACo coverage.
The comments on the Herald-Leader website are just plain nuclear.
KACo Executive Director Bob Arnold really screwed up when he said of the wasteful, dirty spending of tax dollars, “We can’t change it. Get over it. Stop dwelling on it.”
That struck a raw nerve with readers whose money was spent on strip clubs and an escort service.
When contrition is so clearly warranted, there’s no greater piss-off than arrogance.
All counties should withhold their dues until Bob Arnold — and his big and little balls — are ousted.
