We try not to slack or do fewer than 8-10 posts per day, so we apologize for the… um… lack of content today. That’ll probably change by tomorrow or Friday. Just one of those days.
Ouch. [Fat Lip]
Marcus Carey, who has a son employed by Jim Bunning, trashes Trey Grayson once again. What Carey doesn’t mention in his entire diatribe is that Grayson’s camp said they’d raise about $500,000. So coming to the table after just 55 days with over $600,000? That’s kind of a major feat. [Marcus Carey]
This guy needs to just drop the KLC and get it over with. Supporting this level of corruption is inexcusable. [H-L]
PEE ALERT! Pee-powered cars move closer to reality. For real! Not joking. Kentucky has lots of pee. We could make a fortune. [Fast Company & Chemistry World]
Sorry, Kentucky Democrats aren’t capable of taking back the State Senate in 2010. We’re skeptical than more than one or two seats can be picked up. [Joe Arnold]
On the campaign finance front with the state senate, Marty Meyer seems to be giving Dan Seum a run for his, well, money. He’s raised $31,500 in the first quarter. Over 200 individual contributors, only 3 PACs/unions, only two out-of-state contribs (one seems to be from a brother or relative). We’re pretty sure Seum now realizes he’s gonna have a fight on his hands. Will he turn to attacking Meyer. [KREF]
Thanks to LEO’s Stephen George for proving all the rumors we’ve been running with re: the Louisville mayoral snafu lately. [LEO Weekly]
John Yarmuth talks health care, energy and how that Barack Obama might actually save the planet. [More LEO]

“For a Change, a UofL Thank You”
Since I’m often accused of being too critical of UofL, I am pleased to applaud the Med. School for being one of the research centers doing the major trial on emphysema. Med. School research and grants are typically far more useful and beneficial than those from many other campus sectors. On this one, I say, “Hail, UofL.” (JR & SW, I’m on the level here.)

Time to take another look at the Senate candidates. Price still looks better than the two guys together. She also seems to know her way around single payer and public option which Conway refuses to support and Mangy-Mongi openly denigrates with the Republican’t cant.

HAHAHAHA! Yeah, she so has a shot.
Maybe when her husband stops trolling various websites trying to pretend people give two flips about her delusions of grandeur (every candidate suffers from them – hers are just embarrassing)….

The LEO’s speculating that Anne Northup might run for mayor? Great! It’d be fun to watch The Target Lady run Louisville.
