It’s gonna be a light posting day. Overwhelmed with a few things.
Do you care what Mitch McConnell has to say? [Jim Carroll]
It’s time to laugh and get excited again. Pee alert. Gatewood Galbraith is running for governor again. Dea Riley is his running mate. This is why we love Kentucky. [Bluegrass Politics]
Dan Klepal, who is complicit in apologizing for Jerry Abramson’s corruption, shares news that the Commonwealth says Louisville cannot charge po-leece for take-home cars. Will the city have to give back the $500K it’s already collected this year? [C-J]
Who really believes that Harry Reid has grown a pair? [Roll Call]
Major Republicans are referring to Rand Paul as a “nuisance candidate.” [Julie & Ellen]
People like Jack Brammer STILL think Larry Sabato is a genius of some sort. He doesn’t even live in the Bluegrass. [H-L]
Apparently Louisville Republicans still think MoveOn is a threat? We’re not so sure. [Health Care FEAR]
Looks like the Lee Cruse rumor we dropped last week turned out to be legit. He’s suffering from serious delusions of grandeur if he believes he’s got a shot at ousting the man who usually does nothing, Ben Chandler, from the U.S. Congress. [Bluegrass Politics]
Even the Washington pundits think Jim Bunning is off his rocker. [WaPo's The Fix]

Rand is a nuisance…really?
Nice to know that the system now regards someone standing up to be heard, and perhaps giving a voice and a choice to people is now called a nuisance.
Why have elections at all if that’s how they feel about it? Lets just have a few party machine elites make all of our decisions for us…because of course, they know what’s best for us, and we need not be burdened with choices…right?

I would just like to see Rand come out and distance himself somewhat from his father. His father was a fringe candidate and Rand is going to get that label, rightly or wrongly, unless he puts some ideological distance between himself and his dad.
Right now I wouldn’t vote for Rand, and I certainly didn’t vote for his dad.

Odd…how being a true conservative can get one labeled a fringe candidate these days.
Conversely, I’d like to see ANY candidate distance themselves from the party machinery and special interests. Doubtful it’ll happen though.
I’d like to see something other than career politicians representing this state…equally as doubtful.
Choose carefully the next senator…as they’ll likely cling to power for the rest of our lives.

I never imagined that Bunning would be so far off his rocker as to remain in the race.
After all, he’s the only one who thinks he can win another term and he encouraged Grayson to form an exploratory committee.
Logic and reason would suggest that it’s counterintuitive for him to continue this doomed fight.
But maybe I underestimated the power of his hubris, arrogance and narcissism to undermine his better judgment.
A GOP insider tells me that Grayson won’t oppose him while he’s still a contender because Trey’s daddy and Beanball Jim are like best friends.
If that’s true, it’s great news for the Democrats.
I can see Jack Conway being sworn in amid thunderous applause.
If that’s

Yes, you dirty librul, I do care what Mitch McConnell has to say. And I want to thank him for protecting us white people from the “reverse discrimination” engaged in by that mexican who wants to be some kind of judge or umpire or something. We all know that reverse discrimination is wrong because discrimination only properly goes in one direction, towards the dark people. However, I do take issue with McConnell’s love life, which is absolutely all of our business. Mitch is a handsome, strapping, powerful man who could bed any white woman of his choosing. However, he chose to cleave to a red chinese junior dictator who recently lost her job because of the economy. I am concerned that his lifestyle choice makes him biased against the interests of white women, who we must protect from their own bad decisions. It’s fine if we’re aborting the feti of legal and illegal immigrants, but how will he defend the reproductive right of every white women to have oodles of precious babies whether they want to or not? But thanks anyway, Mitch, for standing up for the American White Man who, along with christans, are the most oppressed people on the face of the Earth.
