As a side note:

If I hear John Yarmuth come on Francene and bemoan how bad these bills are, only then to go ahead and vote for them anyway, I going to get ill. It’s the same thing every week there is a tough vote.

If you don’t like the bill, take a tough stance and don’t vote for the damn thing!

The biggest under reported story of the economy is the simple fact that the Stimulus Bill has created very few jobs because the Congressional and Senate representative (on both sides of the isle) have sandbagged the money for the 2010 election cycle.

Once again our politicians have placed their re-elections above the economic health of the US. I hated the stimulus in the first place, but to borrow the money and then hold off spending is it unforgivable.

Now….they want another stimulus to spend now, so they can still hold onto the previous stimulus pork to hand out during their election races. Why is nobody calling them out of this?

Sad but true Bob.
It’s our government;
The politicians works for us.
We pay the bills (although by now the politicians on both sides have us so far in debt, hope is all but lost of ever actually paying those obligations)
We even own the corporations, although most are too complacent to excercise their ownership rights.
We have allowed this to happen by playing politics and playing into the ‘what’s in it for me…right now’ mindset.

Name the US Senator who doesn’t raise money the same way McConnell does. Name any member of Congress from Kentucky or surrounding states (pick your party) who doesn’t. That is the system WE have allowed to develop.

The facts are that jobs lost will continue to be the crisis of the day until the credit card scandals hit–or the national debt explosion takes the headlines.

Whatever you think of Obama and the Congressional Dems, they are doing nothing about the one and digging us ever deeper on the other. The other problem is that the GOP hasn’t found its leader yet–but that’s better than depending on people like Kennedy, Palosi, Dodd, Frankin, and their like. God help us all.

It also shows that Mitch, the Protector of the Rich, has garnered $3,948,762 from the private “health” sector, including $286,002 from its honchos and PACs of HMOs; $1,120,532 from insurance leeches; and $574,211 from druggie companies. According to his onetime GOP colleague, ex-Sen. Alan Simpson, “When he asked for money, his eyes would shine like diamonds.” Simply put, Mitch believes in pearls before swine (and he sees us as the latter).

What a waste of money by the DNC. It’s 5 1/2 years till Micth is up again and in case no one noticed, Obama went down hard in KY both in the primary and general. Mitch is doing what Kentuckians want, they don’t want Obama’s big governemnt.

“King Mitch: A Ship in Passing”

The Dems should ignore King Mitch and the GOP and pass legislation meant to help those that he and his Empress Elaine have ignored their entire privileged careers. Little things to little people like universal health care, decent jobs with decent wages, fair play for unions, gay rights, etc. But the King and the Empress would rather bathe in luxury, snuggling up to tobacco, insurance, drug, and medical fatcats. “Calling Mitch” would be like calling the Marlboro Man on oxycotin, who has the same health coverage as U. S. Senators like King Mitch.
