Earlier this morning we attended a press conference at the Jefferson County Republican Party Headquarters where Party Chairman Brad Cummings laid out his case against Mayor for Life/McCheese Jerry Abramson. Feel free to refresh yourself by reading Cummings’ remarks.
There’s no denying that we’re not fans of Abramson and we feel it’s time for him to leave politics. But there’s also no denying the facts Cummings is laying out for the press.
Rather than pick and choose sound bytes to air, we’re sharing this morning’s entire press conference, including follow-up questions by reporters. Jerry Abramson should be shaking in his expensive booties.

Be sure to see the rest of the juicy, juicy press conference after the jump…
Part 2:

Part 3:

Most fun part of the presser: The cops and meter maids descending upon the block, ticketing cars outside the HQ and ignoring those on other blocks. Guess someone has gotten under Big Jerry’s skin.

Keep it up Brad!

Wow! Two Brad comments, but nothing on many specific examples of what would reasonably be called ‘unethical behavior’ on the part of Abramson.
Are you going to stand there and make fun of this Brad guy, or are you going to call BS on one or more of his many examples of ethical deficiencies?
This should prime the pump for local Democrats and Republicans alike, since the mayor is most closely aligned with the Jerry Party. It should, but since you have to defeat the C-J editorial board, as well as the mayor, it gets tough. Talk about creating a leadership vacuum…

Yo, this Brad Cummings character sounds like a voiceover reject from a bad foreign horror movie flick. I appreciate what he has to say, but dude, c’mon, let’s tone down the creepy peder voice.

Earl…the reason no one is bent about Abramson’s BS is because it’s old news. Cummings was doing little more tan a bad rehash of what Jake, Ed Springston, and the CJ have been pointing out for years.
Cummings and the repubs are a day late and a dollar short with regard to JA.

Isn’t it a shame that so many voters in the Metro now ignore Abramson’s lack of ethics and smozze machine because we all are just too used to it? Must be the newest version of “The Big Lie.” Tell it often enough, say it loud enough, and flash that hang-dog smile and folks will just let it pass. Surely somebody somewhere in Metro, regardless of party, can and will step up to do better than we get from Abramson and his crew–at least it would be a different crew.

I love the folks who are terrified that a Repub might win, somehow blaming them for all bad things that have ever happened in Louisville. Listen up, folks, the Dems have run Louisville for literally my entire life, and I’m old, so maybe it is TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!! This bizarre fear of Rs is almost an obsession, and is what has put us where we are now, since all they have to say is – if not Jerry, we might get a Repub – and the sheep march to the polls and pull the D lever every time.
I’m getting a bumper sticker, don’t blame me, I didn’t vote for him.

i wasn’t defending Jerry by not mentioning him. he sounds like a real pain in the ass. the content of Brad’s speechifying seemed pretty good.
all i was saying is that Brad is hilarious. he should hold more press conferences.
