Please do not forget that we have thousands upon thousands of documents like these:

You may want to think twice about contradicting yourself on topics we’re apt to cover.
And trashing us at random gatherings involving elected officials and prominent members of the community? All because we did investigative work to break the Robert Felner story? You’re leading us to believe you’ve got something to hide.
Stay tuned.

Jake,
You deserve a ton of credit for the breaking the Felner story and staying on top of it in the face of official pressure and media chicanery.
Nice job.

While I don’t agree with Page One’s approaches to every story it goes after… at the same time, as a citizen who cares, I have to say “Go get ‘em!”.

(…counting the minutes until Novena chimes in with a 3-paragraph rambling missive intertwining U of L, global warming and evil throughout the land… :-)

“Concise Memo to David Harpe”
UofL + evil= there is evidence.
UofL + global warming= inconclusive.
rambling missive cousins= James Joyce? Faulkner? William Styron?

I do investigative work myself with open records. For readers who haven’t believe me it is no picnic. Keep up the good work Jake. the more that gets exposed by the morons the better.
While we may disagree on many things getting the facts out there we will agree on 100%.

Contradiction and misdirection is something U of L has perfected lately. The tactics you describe are very familiar — trashing someone behind their back to a group of influential people — Felner perfected that move. When will we get to hear more about this giant stack of paper?

“Dissent=Career Death”
SC, how right your are. One word of dissent and Felner had you on his perpetual crap list. It could even be a relatively innocent comment (at least to most sane folks). But, if it at all went against The Little Man’s priorities, you were plowed under (especially by any Loser Team gophers who heard you and duly reported it) like horse dung at The Downs.
P.S. Apologies to Harpe for the extra lines.

You hear about it nearly every time I run a story about UofL.
Just takes hundreds of hours to sort through everything.
