Wendell Ford Dinner 2009: In Video

June 15th, 2009 · No Comments

The annual Wendell Ford Dinner has come and gone. You’ve read our liveblog from Saturday night. And by now you’ve likely seen the random photographs snapped.

Now it’s time to watch the long and boring videos! So let’s jump right in…

Congressman John Yarmuth:

Be sure to watch the rest after the jump! There are eight videos in total…

Rep. Joni Jenkins presents Lisa Tanner with the Young Democrat of the Year Award:

Transportation Secretary Joe Prather conducted a live auction at the dinner. He not only terrified small children, but old ladies were having heart palpitations as a result. We almost peed a little:

Attorney General Jack Conway addressed the crowd with a great story about both Wendell Ford and Mitch McConnell:

Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo addressed the crowd, primarily promoting his U.S. Senate candidacy, where he spoke lovingly about coal and how he’s the first to do everything:

Rep. John Tanner (D-TN08) spoke to the crowd. He barely whispered so we had to jack the audio levels way up. Couldn’t really hear him in the audience, either, so we’re still not quite sure what he said:

Former U.S. Senator Wendell Ford made a rare appearance at the dinner and cracked all kinds of jokes:

Jefferson County PVA Tony Lindauer sang “My Old Kentucky Home” – and we’re not even making fun of him! Added the closing words and mass exodus of the crowd to the end of this clip:
