The conservative Cato Institute has finally taken notice of the Robert Felner scandal. But they’re using it to spin their talking points about the federal stimulus plan. “Cato v. Obama–No Match”
Jake, the Cato Institute is closely allied with Libertarianism and Ayn Rand’s Objectivist philosophy of “looking out for #1″ and selfishness as a supreme virtue. For that reason, it should be more friendly toward Felner’s motives and actions. Cato’s anointed “scholars” criticized his scandal and UofL’s negligence only when it became convenient to mock Obama’s valiant effort to save us from individual corporate monsters (like those extolled in Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”). Cato wants to protect people in privileged positions; Obama seeks to use government to help those without much social, economic, and political power. Whose side do you want to be on?

Actually Nov. Libertarianism (and Rand) is more about keeping what one EARNS.
Felner STOLE from those who earned (taxpayers). There are few things worse in the Libertarian belief system.
Further, the corporate monsters are not free market ‘monsters’ they are mercantile monsters…and BO is doing a magnificent job at empowering them and enriching them with our tax dollars.
CATO wants free markets…not the crony politics and corporate protectionism of the reps and dems.
Get a clue.
…and stop drinking the kool aid.
