In light of this morning’s story about the Louisville Arena whistleblower not being interviewed by investigators, we’ve got some lingering questions.
Isn’t Ed Glasscock with Frost Brown Todd, the lawfirm tasked with “investigating” the arena collapse, the same Ed Glasscock who was involved with lobbying for the arena?
Something to do with, oh, bonding?
And now his firm is dismissing a whistleblower’s complaints because they’re, oh, complaints? The very firm representing the Arena? How impartial could that mess really be?
Just wondering.
There’s nothing unscrupulous about FBT representing the Arena Authority or even conducting an investigation. But it should be necessary for the firm – and the Authority – to disclose any potential conflicts of interest or anything that could be perceived as shady.
We’re pretty sure this is questionable and are surprised that the mainstream media hasn’t pointed out anything of the sort. Even more surprised no one has mentioned Glasscock’s deep connection to the Arena and past involvement when quoting him. Like the Courier-Journal never does.
On a related note, Arena Authority Chairman Jim Host will be the keynote speaker at our ‘Ville Voice Breakfast of Champions on July 13th. Stay tuned for details.
