Beshear Pal & Convicted Felon Kelley Surfaces

June 2nd, 2009 · 1 Comment

Remember Larry Kelley? Former Ballard County Attorney who fraudulently obtained, received and used a credit card to commit fraud. Was charged with a number of ethics violations by the Kentucky Bar Association. Eventually was disbarred by the Kentucky Supreme Court.

After some time in prison he served on Governor Steve Beshear’s official transition team.

Yeah, him. The guy who claims to be Beshear’s best friend.

Turns out he was just elected Vice-Chairman of the Ballard County Democratic Party.

And from what we hear, Ballard County’s Democratic Executive Committee is slowing jumping ship in protest. The first to go was Cale Sullivan, who very recently resigned.

Not a good sign for the Democratic Party in Kentucky.
