We have something called manners in Kentucky and we use them while driving (most of the time this is true).
Maybe you could learn a thing or two about these mysterious manners while you’re in the Commonwealth this weekend.
Just saying.

Please note, a “One Way” sign usually indicates that the road you are about to go on, is one way. There is a 50% chance, it’s not the direction you desire to take.

Gotta call you on this one Jake–Louisville drivers are horrible. Many drive like they’re 16-year-old girls busy texting on their Sidekicks.

Note that I said Kentucky, not Louisville (or the godforsaken Southern Indiana)…

I hate Louisville. Not necessarily the city itself, but the prevailing attitudes there and how the snobs that infest Jefferson County look down on about 100 of their county’s brethren in this state.
Having said that, I’d much rather drive in Louisville than Lexington. Main and Market are infinitely preferable to Main and Vine.

Uh, I don’t know anyone from Louisville who has a snobby attitude about the rest of the state.
That’s some bullshit you’re peddling.
I have, however, met people who hate Louisville because it’s the “city” and because we have people without white skin.

It takes longer for yellow and red light rays to reach the eyes of those of us from Lexington. We apologize in advance.

I’m sure the foreigners will start driving with manners just as soon as Louisville drivers start driving with ‘em….and I thought driving in Atlanta was bad.

“takes longer for yellow and red light rays …”
I’m not sure if you mean “because they’re not blue” or “because we’ve got reptile eyes.”
I assume the former … but either way, that’s a good line. :-)

Southern hospitality is alive and well in Kentucky. I think old ladies stay at intersections just so they can let others through first. Ohioians are the worst. It’s like because they have exits that get off both sides of the Interstate, they have no idea about having to stay to the right unless to pass. They will camp out in the fast lane, and feel no shame about it. Plus the last thing, whenever I am in the country, or small towns, I use my blinker, am respectful of others, turn my lights on at dusk etc. I want to be a safe driver for others on the road. Unless it brings more attention from the Police. That’s what I think about when I think about the “city”. Though Jake’s right about racist attitudes regarding Louisville. Even though black people make up 8% of Kentucky, many of my second cousins think they are to blame for all their woes. Idiots.

Louisville drivers are so not like the rest of the country.
Tell me of another city where the main sports talk show host always ends his show with “don’t drive slow in the left lane,” as Lachlan McClain (sp?) of WHAS radio does here.
There are so many people who do not know what the speed limit is on the road they are driving.
There are also times where I think that I barely missed the red light, only to see two or three cars behind me go through it.

Left-lane hogging is a trait indigenous to Buckeyes.
