Steve Megerle, convicted for his role in a homophobic campaign finance crime SHOULD face impeachment. Covington is jacked up if they don’t oust this guy ASAP. The City Commission must act immediately. If the guy is barred from seeking office, he shouldn’t be allowed to BE in office. [Enquirer]

Berman’s continuing tricks (with Board support and votes) don’t pass the smell test. There are many ways to benefit personally from misuse of authority and budget other than direct financial benefits. The Board must now hire an independent agent to investigate Berman’s multifaceted background, family ties, especially with those who don’t share his last name, ALL boards he sits on, ALL organizations he helped found–everything.
It really is a shame (if not more) that we keep bringing in these questionable types to run our businesses.

ABC news (those right wingers!!!) had the nerve to question the motivation of the Matthew Shepard killers back in 2004.

Amen Bob. Maybe we could get the people from UW- Parkside to do some background checking so we don’t have to go through more narcissistic criminal minds ruining education in our town again. No, wait, UW-P may be tied up at the moment rethinking its own strategy. Why, why, why does common sense not hold sway when we interview people? Even just taking a deep breath and seeing if the smell factometer is rising would beat this “let’s hire the smooth talker and ignore his resume holes and lack of credible references” game that we have going on now.
