1. He has to blame somebody; he's not responsible.
2. Stivers is a Republican isn't he? Can't count on anything they say to be true any longer than it takes to reach our ears --- out of hearing, out of mind.

Mangy-Mongi thrown under the bus by dumb old Beshear?

If Beshear was corrosive enough to use Dr.Dan just to get elected, all those evil-conservative rumors going around are short circuited.

If the case ... he gets Rasputin points for evil, wicked, mean & nasty.

Jeez, How could the Lt. Gov, not know this from the beginning. Is he that NIAVE?

There must exist, some other riff between Beshear and Mongiardo. I hear tell Beshear does carry a grudge, MHHH.

What about the Lt. Governor laying it on the line for the Governors choice in the house race in Eastern Kentucky?

Sorry, young man . . . if you just now realize the realties of KENTUCKY POLITICS. Being thrown under the political bus is not just a Kentucky thing. This is a wall Mongiardo will have trouble climbing over.

I said at the time that the timing of the endorsement release was intentional, so it would get buried under the "UK fires its hoops coach" brouhaha.

But I could have told you prior to the announcement that relations between Beshear and Mongiardo are still strained to the point of a relationship being nonexistent. Mongiardo still can't get one of his very qualified supporters and personal friends appointed to a non-merit Transportation job in the Hazard area. That should be a no-brainer for Beshear to do that for his lieutenant governor, but Mongiardo has given up trying to get anything from the administration.

This rift was instigated by Beshear. Mongiardo doesn't know why he's getting the cold shoulder from the governor and can't get a simple political job appointment in his home region. Mongiardo, I hear, is totally puzzled as to why Beshear would have chosen him to be his running mate and then threw him under the bus before they'd even served a year of their terms. Mongiardo feels like he was used to help Beshear in the primary in eastern Kentucky.

Reliable administration officials have related that Chief Justice Minton, has reviewed the BONDING SHORTAGE BY CODELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY and finds Codell is in violation of the required bond and will/ has been notified to pay up.

Yes, most projects in the Justice Cabinet held by Codell Construction Company of Winchester have not posted proper bond. This shortage was made public last week in an article by the MSM.

The written demand has been issued by Chief Justice Minton and compliance is expected post haste. Chief Justice Minton, is a very firm man.
The Chief Justice made no mention of being contacted by Attorney General Jack Conway regarding this issue or if it were necessary.

AG Conway is Kentucky most recent hat to land in the ELECT ME U.S. SENATOR Pile.
I find it difficult to understand how Attorney General Jack Conway did not spearhead the drive to make the CODELL COMPANY pay up way before it became public. He or his staff knew what was occurring. However he made no official action. Perhaps, at the advice from OTHERS in the current administration who knows for sure but the administration people and Jonathan Miller has to have known this bonding was not posted.

Did he care? Apparently not.

Codell is a powerful name in Kentucky politics.

It is perplexing how one very rich, former Secretary of the TRANSPORTATION CABINET chose to allow his company to ignore the statue, keep the money and not pay up the thousands that were required by law, until it became a public issue?

Chief Minton should also note; but did not, at this time.
"As a result of the action by those seeking projects for the Justice Centers or Justice Cabinet, not be allowed to bid on further jobs for the next year. But, with a Big Senate Race ahead, the current administration will not allow this kind of action to go forward!"
