Oh, wait, even more rumors about the U.S. Senate campaign.

We hear that Daniel Mongiardo traveled to Washington, D.C. right after the election to meet with the DSCC with both Jerry Lundergan and Greg Fischer in tow. Can you imagine? That should send the ultra-liberals and the conservative/homophobic Democrats into a tizzy.

On a related note, Kentucky State Police troopers tell us that they spend several hours per week walking Daniel Mongiardo’s dog (his office staff confirm it) and going on Senate campaign trips– along with as many as five state staffers– several times per week. And there’s been no reimbursement to the state. Somebody’s got some explaining to do. All this, coupled with Mongiardo’s sudden onslaught of press releases about taking a leak and breathing… and you’ve got potential abuse of state resources on our hands.

AND… That $2,500 housing allowance the Lt. Governor receives each month to pay for housing in Franklin County? Daniel Mongiardo is taking those funds. But we hear from those in the Governor’s Office and throughout Frankfort that the money isn’t being spent on housing, as required by law, and certainly isn’t being spent in Franklin County. (He lives in his in-laws’ basement for free) So somebody’s got some additional explaining to do. Because we can’t afford to flush taxpayer dollars down the toilet.
