New Poll: Bunning Loses to ANY Democrat

April 7th, 2009 · 6 Comments

From Political Wire:

Political Wire got an advance look at a new Public Policy Polling survey in Kentucky that shows Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY) with a 28% favorable rating as he attempts to run for a third term.

Bunning loses head-to-head match ups with all four Democrats considering a run against him: Kentucky Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo, Attorney General Jack Conway, state Auditor Crit Luallen and Rep. Ben Chandler.

So… let’s start counting down to the day Jim Bunning drops out of the race. Probably at the last minute so the RNSC/RNC can have their candidate of choice without a primary. Trey Grayson, anybody?

[...] the full results won’t be released until tomorrow, this Political Wire link (stolen from PageOne) shows that Sen. Bunning will lose to any Democrat in the 2010 election, living or dead, real or [...]

Mitch is getting tight panties at the thought of choosing between Williams or Grayson. Grayson will probably get pressure to wait on a run for Governor against Beshear. Two cents worth.

    Also, Beshear hangs steady…

Annex is somewhat right. My Republican sources say that Grayson is not interested in the Senate race.

My Republican source – Trey Grayson – said he’s interested in the race.

And he’s said it in the mainstream media.

Of course, that doesn’t mean anything. Just saying.

CQ Politics chimes in on the race, with a UK professor saying Bunning will likely stay in the race and lose.
