Stormy Tuesday Dept of Frankfort Time Wasting

Over the past few months, Dan Mongiardo’s 2010 Senate Primary campaign has been actively trying to silence several growing problems. Why can’t Mongiardo answer a few questions and why is Lee Murphy avoidant? What’s with the hypocrisy? [Barefoot & Progressive]

The FDIC told Republic Bank to get its act together or else. [Business First]

State House members plan to hold hearings on tax overhaul bills in preparation for an expected special session of the legislature. Don’t hold your breath, though, because tax reform will never happen in the Commonwealth. It’ll never get easier for the common man OR small business as long as these folks are in Frankfort. Maybe the Governor’s plan for NASCAR and the Kentucky Speedway really is a waste of time. Or maybe they’re not footed in reality? What are your thoughts? [Stephenie Steitzer]

Mitch McConnell’s hypocrisy is quite ripe. [DailyKos]

David Williams and other Senate Republicans took their hatred of teachers unions out on Steve Neal. They didn’t bring his confirmation up in committee or on the floor. Purposefully. And Williams’ staff is spinning out of control for him. [C-J]

As long as PETA insists on using sexist imagery for its advertising and protests, they will never be credible with me. BACON!

Just one afternoon with a nekkid Pam “Zeppelin Tits” Anderson, and I would never eat KFC again. At least not that she would ever find out about.

Who cares about People Eating Tasty Animals and naked people? Not me.

But I do like making and saving money. I had Dan from RegenEn Solar stop out for a visit to my business. Thus far the payback looks to be worth giving solar power augmentation some more consideration.
The recent rumblings from DC about selling (not giving) carbon credits to industry do not bode well for the costs of electric power…and may offer even more justification for providing some, if not all of my electricity ‘off the grid’.

Something else for consideration…having backup or supplemental electrical power via solar…would be nice…in the event a good old fashion Ohio Valley thunderstorm busts up the power grid again.

Ray Re, I hear that Pam tastes like chicken, with just a hint of silicone. E, as soon as enough people go off the grid they’ll tax the sun. Just watch.

I wonder if the government has given any thought to what happens if enough people do get off the grid so as to affect the revenue stream/taxes.

Damn…maybe they’ll tax my firewood next!
