Thanks so much for promoting this, Jake! We are so excited about this year’s event and can’t wait to see YDs from across Kentucky.
Two quick notes: Congressman Ben Chandler will be participating in the Friday night kick-off with Valerie. And new KDP Chairman Charlie Moore will be speaking on Saturday.
Thanks, again. =)

Sure.
It’s pretty embarrassing that Daniel Mongiardo and Steve Beshear aren’t taking the time to make appearances.

We are all very excited and hope everyone can attend.
Daniel Mongiardo will be attending the Friday night event and will be making the closing remarks at 8:45! We are very excited to hear from him.
I do want to point out that the Governor is going to be out of town, we knew that when we scheduled it but due to Biden Owens schedule chose to keep the date. The Governor attended last year and has always been a great supporter of the Young Democrats.

Glad to hear Mongiardo’s crew has decided to make the Young Democrats a priority. Good on him for taking initiative (after being called out) to make it to the event.
Good move for Mongiardo to close that evening and Conway to open the next day. Having them both speak on the say day could be over kill… and they both deserve their own day, really.
Mongiardo’s people tell me he’ll be hanging out with the Young Dems after Friday’s event, so that’s even better. Someone should ask him about SB 245 and his subsequent hate surveys (and decrees) of the legislature. Maybe take a video camera ad get him to talk about it…. much as Joe Sonka and Jim Pence did in 2007 (though, for whatever reason, Pence refuses to release that video now).

That’s quite a splendiferous rack Valerie is sportin there. Just wondering, is there an age limit to become a Young Democrat? If Mongiardo brings his wife I’m so there.

40.

Ray Re: Jake is right – the “limit” for Young Dems is 40 years of age. The Friday event at the Lexington Children’s Theatre, however, is open to everyone. Young Dems pay $10 and everyone else pays $25. Hope to see you there!

You can be quite the splendiferous tool sometimes Ray Re. Way to go Hillary for not biting the old fart.

Well now, AR, I wouldn’t exactly call Hank splendiferous, but thanks anyway for boosting my day. When did your Young Democrat card expire BTW?
