This is why gay rights and gender equality are stalled in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Unfortunately for Jordan Palmer, who continues his ridiculous assault after we rightly and properly published a negative story about him and the Kentucky Equality Federation, is biting off more than he can chew. Continuing to attack me after I filed an open records request to obtain public documents from the Office of the Attorney General is not a smooth way to operate.
Then threatening to sue me because his settlement agreement with the OAG went public? Yeah, smooth.
Now he and cohorts are bringing up an issue from March 2008 that was ridiculous. Palmer ignorantly claimed Senate President David Williams was gay by promoting a story written by United We Stand. We pointed out how ridiculous it was to make such an accusation. And using the excuse that they, as an alleged equality group, merely linked to and promoted the story as a defense of their ignorant and hypocritical actions is an easy cop out.
But here’s the rub: they (Palmer and pals) claim I’m threatening the “Kentucky Equality Federation”.
Investigation huh? Like the one that Kentucky Equality and Jordan Palmer settled just to avoid going to court? Kentucky Equality had good reason to revoke funding to the gay straight alliances these people are college students and as he even try to tell Drama Queen Payne, “You see Jacob; you DO NOT have all the documents! We did nothing wrong, that is why it was in the civil division, NOT criminal. Rather than waste money on a legal defense, I decided to pay it so it goes to LGBTI organizations instead of the AG’s Office. This time Jacob, you have crossed the line.”
Actually, Mr. Palmer, Jacob Payne has crossed the line many, many times. His blog is anything but professional and he uses curse words on a regular basis. Very unprofessional.

Sorry Payne, this is too good not to forward to the feds. We will see if they have people in the bank also (your words not mine). I can assure you the answer is no.
Told ya there was investigation, folks. Palmer had to settle with the OAG for never providing promised funds to college groups around the state. He thinks it’s some conspiracy that I was tipped off about a pending investigation. Further, he also thinks it’s illegal (or whatever) that state employees would stand up and support me when I’m in the right. That’s how life works.
This is absurd. Continuing to attack the messenger for pointing out potential corruption and legitimately reporting with open records obtained from the government.
Nice. Keeping attacking me and I’ll have even more reason to continue digging and reporting what I know.
This does nothing but tear down the fight for equality that legitimate organizations like the Fairness Campaign and the Kentucky Fairness Alliance have been waging for two long decades. We have held meetings and communicated with both organizations over the past week and it’s clear to us that they’re attempting to move on and away from KEF’s issue with money. But the longer this drags on and the more people continue to attack, the less likely it is that any progress will ever be made in Kentucky.

They’d make the argument a bit better by avoiding run-on sentences. See here:
“Kentucky Equality had good reason to revoke funding to the gay straight alliances these people are college students and as he even try to tell Drama Queen Payne …”
Wouldn’t it be “he even TRIED to tell”. Isn’t there a period necessary after “alliances”? And honestly, if you’re complaining that someone is being unfair and whiney, do you really think it’s best to start the name calling? And if so, couldn’t you find one that’s less homophobic than “drama queen”?
Just some tips.
