Marty Cockring is still hot on calling us Fred Phelps. We’re apparently throwing tantrums over his rank homophobia? Something like that.
We’re quoting Cockrick’s blurb in near entirety, because he’s a sick son of a bitch who protests woah too hard and often:
Oh dear. It appears we have provoked Jake into another spasm of intemperate rhetoric. The new verbiage apparently snuck into his recent post calling State Sen. Gary Tapp a “despicable human being” while the adults were not watching. In fact, the adults never seem to be watching over at Page One. Could it be that there are no adults there at all?
Jake again resorts to the charge that every conservative who disagrees with him is a closet homosexual. Our theory (we can play the Freudian game too) is that charging others with taking the same dim view of the dictates of biology as he does meets some kind of psychological need.
-SNIP-
I am thinking that an apology may be in order–to Fred Phelps for the unfavorable comparison.
It’s absolutely hilarious that he would compare us to the most bigoted, hatemongering individual in the United States. I mean, calling out Sigmund on all this. That’s some deep shiz. What Cockring doesn’t realize is that he, himself, is the Fred Phelps of Kentucky.
We also love that the mainstream media thinks he’s a whackjob. Meanwhile, our opinion prevails.
The more this bigot yells about how terrible and anti-biology we are, the more the legislature (Democrats and Republicans) tells us they think he should be locked away at Eastern State. It gets better and better each and every day. So we hope he continues to ignore the American Psychological Association and, oh, everyone else on earth.
Keep on with the hate, sweet cheeks Marty Cockring! Thanks for the free publicity! You’re making us money and don’t even know it.

You snipped the most important part: MC didn’t compare you to FP, but your rhetoric to his.
Looks to me like MC’s views are a 2nd or 3rd cousin of FP’s and your rhetoric here is a 1st cousin of FP’s rhetoric in terms of style.

Haha! I love that the Southern Indiana “libertarian” nuts are coming out of the woodwork to defend both Fred Phelps and Marty Cockring.
Here’s what you say about yourself:
Let me just say… that’s fucking hilarious. “God’s grace” and the teachings of Jesus Christ certainly have a lot to do with promoting discrimination, bigotry and full-on hatred, for sure.
And, yes, Marty Cockring did, indeed, compare me and what I had to say to Fred Phelps.

Martin Cothran calling someone else Fred Phelps is like Fred Phelps calling someone else Fred Phelps.

Bill: Agreed.
The difference here is that I welcome his ignorance because I benefit financially.

I neither defended them nor connected them to myself, God’s grace, or the teachings of Jesus.
I compared the three of you to each other. Continuing that comparison, how would one rank the three of you in terms of name-calling?

Ahhhh….I guess you could say I defended him. I was thinking of it as clarifying/correcting what you had said.
Anyway, I’d do the same for you…

Let’s see…
There’s Fred Phelps, damning everyone who isn’t inbred or whatever…
Marty Cockring, damning the “fags” and casting us to “hell”…
And me, calling Marty Cockring a bigot and Gary Tapp Tapp Tapp a despicable human being– both truths…
Love how it’s always, “Oh, look! The gays are so mean when they call us homophobes or bigots!” How convenient for the WATBs of the world.
Own your shiz or keep it private, ladies. Pretty simple.
