David Hawpe has some fancy anonymous “handicapper” who says Greg Stumbo will beat Jody Richards. Unfortunately for the reader, Hawpe doesn’t indicate that his handicapper is probably Larry Clark or one of Greg’s lobbyist pals. There’s not a soul in the House who thinks Greg has a shot. Not even Greg’s longtime friends like Jerry Lundergan think he can win. End of story. [C-J]

This is funny. You used to make fun of Jody and questioned the brand of his hair dye, but now since he and Joni Jenkins have teamed up, he is wonderfull.

Actually, I support him because he got off his once chickenshit and lazy ass and DID something. He reformed the way the House works. And he grew some balls and started standing up for things. He put the right people in the right places to stave off ridiculous wedge issues. And he stopped cowering at the feet of lobbyists.

Major point: He kept the bullshit wedge issues from getting out of committee.
We don’t need another vote on whether or not you can shoot the gays on sight.

I’d pay less attention to who Lundergan supports and a lot more attention to the House Democrats, they’re the folks that get a vote.
