It’s official, Jeff Derouen has hopped from Crit Luallen to Daniel Mongiardo to Executive Director of the Public Service Commission. His currently salary? $115,000.
Derouen replaces Stephanie Stumbo. She’s been appointed malt beverage administrator at the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
She replaces Danny Reed, who will fill the position of distilled spirits administrator. Reed is replacing Jeff Middendorf, whose four-year term expires December 31.

Stumbo wasn’t qualified for PSC job and essentially made everyone there mad and they are glad to see her go. She was on a power trip and her new post will take her down a notch or two. Derouen was Luallen’s communications spokesperson which far from qualifies him to manage a 100+ person staff that regulates utilities in Kentucky. Say what you will but last administration (I hate to admit it) had people regulating utilities with some background to fit it.

Nope. Stumbo was a great ED at the PSC and she will be missed. She was well on the way to helping to restore morale and expertise decimated by the previous administration. Don’t know of many that are glad to see her go.

What does Stephanie Stumbo know about beer, other than her distant cousin, the deadbeat dad from Prestonsburg, likes to drink a lot of it and sometimes get behind the wheel of a vehicle?

Steph Stumbo is one of the sharpest people in FFort. But I can see how a town full of weak, intimidated males would have a problem with a strong woman like her…

interesting that you say she was restoring the morale from the last administration…she was PART of the last administration at the Dept for Local Government…ha ha ha! She lost the battle with the other Stephanie (Bell) and the PSC Chair-they wanted her out and she’s gone. Who cares…she was quite a cusser though in meetings with staff, etc.
