Really, Phil?
Is this the road you really want to go down?
In any case, this is what we’re up against in promoting coal usage in the country:

Scroll down to December 4 entry that has Al Gore’s name in the headline. Watch the spot and then click on the Web site link under the screen. We’re under siege.
There’s a power plant in Maysville that burns coal and its stack emissions are lower than burning natural gas. There’s another under construction in Winchester that will be even cleaner. The Center for Applied Energy Research is on the verge of cracking the carbon issue once and for all. But does anyone know that?
Under siege? Really?
I guess you’re still bitter over not being able to work for your friend, Steve Beshear, because it’s unethical.
Maybe it’s because your cohort Preston got the job in the administration that you wanted, while you have to do things unofficially and unpaid?
Or maybe you’re bitter because you receive millions and millions from the coal lobby and will do anything in your power to silence people who present coherent, logical arguments that totally rip your ridiculous spin apart?
But if this is the road you want to go down? We’ll go down that road.

btw – that message touts the work of the UK Center for Applied Energy Research, which is heavily funded by the coal industry in order to develop new ways of making them look good. Too bad the last CAER report (that I saw) on CCS said exactly what I’ve been saying here – they’re nowhere close to figuring it out.

And let’s not forget that Jay Blanton, the governor’s communications director, is a former Preston-Osborne employee

Just to let everyone know. Bluegrass politics will ban you as a spammer and not allow you to post if you criticize their reporters like I did last week on an incomplete report that failed to specify how the state unemployment services can lose its federal funding if it violates federally mandated timelines in regards to unemployment insurance and appeals.
I didn’t think the newspapers could get any more pathetic; but they just did by banning commentors who are keeping the papers on their toes.
If it wasn’t for Page One and the Ville Voice; we could surely say that unbiased free speech in a public forum is surely dead in Kentucky.

Well, we still ban folks. But only when they’re real asshats who work for or worked for the KDP (or are in some way having a relationship with someone at KDP)…

Okay Jake, thats like, what. . . two people? A certain somebody getting back into regular working joe field and her boyfriend?
I noticed early on that there were not nearly as many commentors as there had been in pol watchers. Now I know why. Anybody who is criticizing the newspapers are being banned. And there is no contact info to complain about it either.
It’s truly abhorrent. None of my comments fit the criteria of being banned- I read their policy. The only mistake I guess I made was attempting to be witty and using actual critical thinking skills about not only the reporting, but about actions by political officials.
What they need to put in their policy is something; “We reserve the right to ban people who tell the truth when its the type of truth we don’t like”. Argghhhh. I have wasted too much time already on being banned.
thanks for letting me vent.

Jinx: Feel free to criticize us and personally attack us. We won’t ban you. Or, you know, offer legitimate conversation. That works too. Even though it’s woah less exciting.
