Thursday Morning Dept Of Visiting Gubnuh

According to several reports, Jefferson County Republican Party Chair Brad Cummings is a confirmed elitist “follower” and homosexual sympathizer. He has allegedly purchased a fancy MacBook Pro, following in our footsteps. It’s a fact that only known homosexuals or homosexual sympathizers use Apple products. They’re the only folks on earth, ever, who would purchase a laptop like ours. So. Brad has some serious explaining to do about why he hates America. [Sell-Out Shame]

What? Rick was on WFPL? What? He was talking about the fancy Courier-Journal layoffs and mass media hysteria? Heck yes. [WFPL]

We’re at this thingy for Greater Louisville Inc this morning. Governor Steve Beshear is the featured speaker and he’ll be discussing his priorities for 2009 and making predictions for the short session. Stuff like transportation, taxes health care, education, the economy. Stuff like the cancer stick tax, which will probably fail. Stuff like another failed attempt at pushing casino gambling legislation without bothering to work with the House. Stuff like, oh, who knows, but we’ll probably complain about it later. [GLI's Capitol Connection]

Go read this fancy question and answer session with the governor about his first year in office. Note that he couldn’t bring it upon himself to admit he’s made mistakes and should do several things over. He didn’t provide an answer for why he hasn’t bothered to try working with the legislature on anything. He didn’t bother to answer questions about why he’s placed friends and patrons in the Department of Homeland Security. He seriously dishonest about being involved in the race for Speaker of the House. Ugh. Some day the Beshear Administration will realize you can’t say one thing out of one side of your mouth while flat-out lying out the other side. [Bluegrass Politics]

The FDIC is finally catching on to banks and their shady overdraft fees. The fees hit mostly young and low-income customers. Imagine that. Shady practices in the banking world. [USA Today]

Watch that lesbian Rachel Maddow last night? She quoted Kathy Stein on the ridiculous god language in Homeland Security legislation. Yeah, that’s right. Tom Riner is embarrassing Kentuckians everywhere. Just like Daniel Essek. [Lesbian Teevee]

Good? Bad? Ruh ro? Baptist Hospital East in Louisville is no longer in compliance with the “Conditions of Participation” with CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). Anyone have the skinny on this? A notice in the paper indicated that the Medicare program will not make payment for inpatient services to patients who are admitted after 12/14. For those admitted prior to 12/14, payment may continue for a max of 30 days. [Not Good]

Rush Limbaugh is an avid Apple user. What are you trying to say?

…is Medicare only not making payments for impatient patients? (what about the patient ones?)
