God, Kentucky Tonight was boring last night. Mainly because everyone was cordial and no one got in a fight. WHAT on earth is wrong with you people?! FIGHT! Make it interesting. Goodness gracious.

Isn’t it funny to watch John David Dyche wet himself over how amazing Mitch McConnell is? He even spews about how great it is that Mitch was inspired to do more fundraising when Iraq War protesters started up– instead of actually communicating with his constituency. [C-J]
Is Steve Henry apologist and confidant Joey Pendleton under investigation? Obviously. Is there a cover-up? Much to David Williams’ disappointment, no, because Pendleton is just like Henry. [PolWatchers]

In his McConnell propaganda piece, Dyche somehow failed to mention one crucial point.
His “foremost” US Senator refused to debate his opponent. McConnell did not show up for the KET debate and Bruce Lunsford appeared alone before the cameras. Real classy, Mitch.
How can anyone who refuses to debate or answer his constituents be a “foremost” Senator? Maybe Dyche will tell us in a future column.

Republic bank, and the rest of the banks, were simply doing what congress had ordered them to do. The problem won’t be fixed until all of those clowns are out of Washington.

Pol Watchers, Francene and this site should do real fact checking. While Sen. Pendleton is no saint, the Republican Party chair should quit with the nonsense. The H-L said in an article over a week a single regent raised the issue with Steve Robertson. Why didn’t he go to the board or the president of the university or Conway himself. I’ll tell you why it is because that regent Judge Jeff Taylor a Fletcher/Rudolph appointee. His illegal appointment resulted in a lawsuit that Conway was to chicken to do anything about. Judge Taylor is a former frat brother of Robbie “Tire salesman” Rudolph. This bickering and nonsesnse is because of the Fletcher/Rudolph v. Murray State fiasco a few years back. Sen. Pendleton took on Fletcher/ Rudolph, then ,over the budget, illegal board appointments to Murray State Board of Rregents and the hiring of the current president who is nothing more than Judge Taylor’s lap dog.

Uh, did you bother reading what we wrote? We said there was no cover-up.
But Pendleton did double-dip and there is an investigation. The AG’s investigation will determine if anything was illegal– something none of the sites and organizations you named mentioned.
Pendleton IS a Henry apologist. He lied on Steve Henry’s behalf for the entirety of 2006 and 2007 and no doubt lied to investigators looking into Henry’s shenanigans.

Well the request to investigate Pendleton was in April. It seems that if Conway wanted to, he could have easily finished the investigation and presented evidence to a grand jury in three months; which would be July. Plently of time for the public to know what was going before they voted in November whether they wanted to reelect Pendleton. But all the wishy washing around by Conway until after the election is the problem. Goodness, its not like Conway doesn’t have enough problems right now in the OAG. And Tad ducked out of having any face time with Phillip today, after Mondays little drama. Hehe.

Jinx: You don’t know that Conway himself is involved in any investigation.
7 Jinx // Nov 12, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Jake; by virtue of Conway being the elected office holder of Attorney General he is imputed to be in every action taken by his office.
To be honest, I feel sorry for Conway. The mess left to him by Stumbo is going to cost Conway plenty if steps are not taken soon. He needs to fess up and ditch some people- FAST.

Couple points: It’s entirely possible for Conway to be uninvolved in an investigation.
And Greg Stumbo didn’t leave a mess for him… because Greg Stumbo never showed up for work t0 make a mess. He was always in Florida with the Road King.

LOL!!! Maybe its a mess because Stumbo didn’t show up to work.
Yes, technically “its entirely possible for Conway to be uninvolved in an investigation” yet as top lawyer he is still responsible whether he is hands on or not.
We can agree to disagree. [pouts lip] Just don’t spank me and put my IP up.

NO, I AM NOT!! But just maybe you have been harsh about me a time or two. You would be proud of me though. I didn’t whine or crybaby on you. I took it like a man.

You took it like a man because you’re not Kathy Groob!
