Ugh. Wasn’t it lame for the Lunsford campaign to point out that Man Coulter referred to Bruce– without naming him, of course– as a pinhead? If Brad Katz hadn’t brought it up, no one would be laughing about it at this very moment. Who cares that a urine-injectiong horse thinks that some unnamed challenger is a pinhead? Good god. More from the department of FEAR! The Onion predicted the future in 1993. And I’ll be damned, it’s actually happening. Right now. [Jed Report]
On Monday morning from 5:00-7:00 A.M., WHAS11 will host a dozen Young Democrats and a dozen Young Republicans (breaking in throughout Good Morning Kentuckiana) will discuss Commitment 2008. Tune in as you’re getting ready for work! Nicole Candler and Brad Cummings are just two of the folks who will be involved. [Email Blast]
Kentucky State House Democrats gave an excellent briefing this morning about their races and impressive battle plans. They’ve already gained three seats this cycle and are eyeing western Kentucky to win an extra seat on election night. Meanwhile, Jennifer Moore is set to cost Democrats three State Senate seats– despite the fact that she repeatedly tells everyone she’s going to win them. Guess she’s gonna have a long election night. [Conference Call]

Louisville Rally: UAW Local 862, Fern Valley Road, doors open at 1:00 P.M., event begins at 2:00 P.M. Everybody go take pictures of the madness and tell us how much fun it is. [Press Release]

Chickenhawk Mitch McConnell says that Public Campaign Action Fund, the non-partisan organization fighting for real campaign finance reform, is left of left. He said that he is “protecting the country from their worst inclinations.” David Donnell is right. Mitch McConnell has made a career out of obstructing legislation and is known for his insanely radical opposition to all campaign finance reform. And really, Mitch? “Worst inclinations?” Like what? Trying to get corrupt senators like yourself to admit what you’re up to when it comes to campaign finance? [Enquirer]
Bruce Lunsford announced he will donate his U.S. Senate salary to charity if he wins election. He’s obviously not in it for the salary of $169,300. So. Good move on Bruce’s part. Mitch McConnell should pledge to do the same, since he’s gotten wealthy off the government teat. [C-J]
Mean protesters met Mitch McConnell at a Louisville campaign event. Isn’t that terrible? One woman stood outside the event holding a rubber chicken because Mitch, the chickenhawk, is afraid to debate Bruce Lunsford. Mitchy will be finishing is 62-stop bus tour across the Commonwealth with a stop in Morehead, our former neck of the woods. You can bet money that he won’t be well-received there. [WAVE3]
And whattya know? Swift Boat donor is defending chickenhawk Mitch McConnell. Texan Bob Perry is funding a new 527 group called “The FIrst Amendment Alliance” and is airing radio ads attacking Bruce Lunsford, who is an actual veteran. Perry gave $4.4 million to Swift Boat Vets for Truth in 2004. Yay for skirting campaign finance laws! [NPR]
Oh, and check out who the Louisville Cardinal endorsed. This is the University of Louisville’s student newspaper. [Louisville Cardinal]

Oh my goodness. Zogby has McCain leading Obama. Isn’t that be a real bummer?

I signed up for Zogby polls earlier this year. I took part in a poll a couple weeks ago that was nothing except an online push poll for McCain.
Basically, it asked questions like “If you knew that Barack Obama was a cannibal, would it make you more likely or less likely to vote for him?”
