Update: Jake Was On Francene Yesterday

October 24th, 2008 · 12 Comments

Haha, so, funny story. We are really fancy and were on our radio girlfriend Francene’s show yesterday discussing the Robert Felner scandal at the University of Louisville and his recent indictment.

You can download the podcast from 84WHAS radio’s website.

Or you can stream the files across the internets from this very website:

Segment 1:

Segment 2:

Segment 3:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Don’t we sound fancy? Hear that head cold we’ve got going on? Like how we struggled not to call the Courier-Journal something mean and nasty? Yeah, nice. We know. We are vain and love hearing our own voice.

Hope you enjoy!

Jake: Have women ever asked you to read the phone book to them? :)

Haha – why, so they can hear me be all gay while reading numbers?

I only do that if people pay me. I accept verified check, credit card, PayPal, etc.

Jake: My mistake. That first comment was made after Segment 1. Had I listened to all segments first, I could have changed the target audience.

    Jake,

I thought you and Francene did a great summary of the Felner/Schroeder case. Your point that this type of grant and contract fraud is likely happening elsewhere is chilling. Are the indictment legal documents accessible electronically?

    Jake,
Congratulations!!! You did an outstanding job at Francene show. THANK YOU. Keep up excellent job. You spoke with an
authoritative voice. Francene also was very articulate and understood Felnor debacle better than our president and provost.

Tirnstile: I got a kick out of your comment.

BW: Indeed. I published the indictment here.

See highlights of the United States Attorney’s press conference here.

    Curious: Many thanks.

Jake, by name, and Page1Ky, by name, given big credit tonight on Comment on Kentucky for its reporting on the Felner story.

    Jake,

This thread has an award feel to it. I know you don’t think that way…but it does. Are there blog site awards? If not, there should be. Even though this is the only blog I’ve ever been on, everything going on here tells me you’ve taken it to some other level. Raised the bar with a mix of blog and true journalism. With a heavy dose of tenacity. A real cut above.

Francene saw that and recognized it. Who knows if others will have the class to do that or not.

Still, something to frame or have to dust off regularly wouldn’t suck.

Jake, I too am taken with your voice. You have a radio voice. Head cold? Keep it.

Terrific interview–one of the best summaries of the whoel scandal.

Me too Jake. I totally didn’t expect that voice to come out of you, although I have no idea what you look like either.

Great interview; and Adam’s on KET was excellent as well.

Haha – did you folks really think I was some nelly queen with a serious gay attitude?

I only play one on the internet.

(No offense meant to any nelly queens reading this…)
