Obama is running ads finally. What are the odds he will make surprise appearance to motivate the turnout and ground volunteers before the election. Surely that could be a huge hit for Lunsford. So if Obama is trying to help out some Senate races on the bubble — why wouldn’t Kentucky fit that perfectly.
Guess this is moot point since Obama isn’t going to visit Kentucky anyway, but I think having your own party’s presidential candidate visit is beneficial. Fire up the liberals who make up the foundation of the Democratic Party! Nothing sucks worse for the home team than having dead weight at the top of the ticket dragging everyone else down. Aren’t like, 57% of registered voters in Kentucky, Democrats? I just don’t see how Obama making a campaign stop here is going to piss off those registered Democrats and make them vote for McConnell, Davis, Guthrie, McCain etc…
I thought this was a joke photoshop picture, but I just saw a recording of the end of the debate and McCain really did this! Not once, but twice did he stick out his tongue. How odd. And he looked very awkward when the wives came on stage, running towards Michelle then awkwardly turning back to his wife when he realized that Michelle might want to congratulate her own husband first. And then McCain ran off the stage leaving his wife behind to negotiate the steps in her high heels alone. The man is severly lacking in social graces.

A visit from Obama would hurt Lunsford.
That’s why it won’t happen.
And… because Kentucky “doesn’t matter” or whatever.

Funny thought–Obama showing up in the state himself would hurt Bruce. Obama going on the air in media markets outside of Lou and NKy would hurt Bruce.
But you know what…if he wants to bring his ground game here, it’s going to be the death of McConnell.
