What happens when you live in Pineville and you and your dad get charged with buying votes in an election? You testify against your pops, of course. Meanwhile, this happens every day in all 120 counties in Kentucky. It’s what we call political reality here in the beautiful Commonwealth. [H-L]

In the spirit of all this crap that’s going down with the University of Louisville. Take a look at this story of a public employee protected by the First Amendment for speaking out against what they perceived to be wrongdoing. UofL should take notice. [Law Professors]

Kentucky Democratic Party can’t get anything right under the leadership of Jennifer Moore. In the KDP’s latest email blast– one of the few times Bruce Lunsford is ever mentioned, mind you– the party is touting the Governor’s support of Lunsford. The message comes from “leader” @ the party’s web address. But the subject is the funny part– in the message about Bruce, the subject read, “Governor’s Approval Rating Hits 60%.” The party couldn’t proof read its own email blasts. Imagine that. [Email Blast]
Senate President David Williams is lying a lot these days. Here’s what he had to say about Dan Mongiardo, “Yesterday, Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo called people in rural parts of the state ignorant racists because they do not happen to agree with his own personal liberal choice for president. I demand an immediate apology. His comments are inappropriate and insulting to rural Kentuckians.” Heads up to David: Dannyboy didn’t call people racists, holmes. Here’s what he said, jackass, “Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo said apparent lack of support in rural Kentucky stems from unfamiliarity with Obama and his policies, as well as ignorance and racial discrimination.” [Press Releases]
WHAS11′s Adam Walser followed up on the John Deasy-Gates Foundation story last night. Here’s what he got, A Gates Foundation spokesperson told WHAS11 that officials there are aware of the investigation, but say they’re confident in Deasy’s ability to lead. HAHA. Riiight. [Adam Walser]
From the Department of the Weird, the Washington Post wrote a glowing editorial about John Deasy. Never mind that fake Ph.D. that Robert Felner gave him. It’s no biggie, we guess. Nothing to see here, move along. [WaPo]

The Prince George County School Board shouldn’t be so shocked Deasy isn’t staying for an extended amount of time as superintendent. He hasn’t been able to stay at a college long enough to get a real degree. . .why would he stay at a job long enough to make a real difference? Go luck Gates.

Aaaactually, those words really weren’t what Mongiardo said, either. Those were written by the reporter, as a leadup to the Mongiardo quote, which was:
“…we have so many people who will not vote for Barack because of the color of his skin. Not everybody wants to talk about that, but it’s there.”
And it’s true. I’ve made calls myself and talked to people who’ve said they won’t vote for a n——. They’ve openly admitted that they are racist, which in my book and everyone elses, makes them ignorant.
Williams is an idiot for twisting the words of Mongiardo. And you can quote me.
