We hear there’s a presser at UofL later this afternoon. Possibly about the Robert Felner investigation? We can’t get out there today but several reporters have promised to keep us in the loop.
And Ben Chandler is set to publicly endorse David Boswell during a 3:30 press conference. He’ll endorse the one candidate attacking Democratic Leadership but doesn’t have the balls to endorse Bruce Lunsfird INSIDE the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Imagine that. We’ll fill you in on the details from the conference call later.

I am glad Congressman Ben Chandler is endorsing David Boswell for Congress. Boswell is much more mainstream Kentuckian than Bruce Lunsford is.
Lunsford is the largest DINO ever established. He has given over $47,000 to the likes of Bush, Dole, Northup, McConnell, Bunning and Greyson. He endorsed Ernie Fletcher over Ben Chandler for Governor in 2003 after Chandler defeated him in the primary. He ran his own corporation into the ground years ago, losing life savings for many stock holders.
Sure he is running against an idiot in McConnell, but Kentuckians do not have a clear choice between 2 idiots.
I am glad Chandler has the guts to endorse people who deserve it.

Thanks for spewing bullshit and spin.
Always appreciated from first-rate hacks.

Jake,
What’s your gut feeling? Seens a bit early for Felner charges, but maybe they wrapped it up faster than they thought. Has he been spotted out and around lately?

ed,
Not on Jake’s behalf, but IMO, it seems too soon for UofL to have wrapped up its review, but not necessarily the feds. When they have hard evidence (and we’ve probably seen enough on this site that makes RF indictable), they tend to move more quickly than most. It’s a good strategy for getting other people to roll over on him.

My gut says it’ll be about the blue ribbon commission’s findings. Which will be, “Nothing to see here, move along.”

We’re told that John Drees WON’T be taking ANY questions after the statement.

I’d agree it’s about the commission’s findings…or lack thereof. I think I probably got a bit tooooo excited too soon (who, me?). Thinking about it, it seems any press conference regarding charges would be held by the feds, and probably not on campus (If that’s where this one is).
