I hear you, Dean. I have a very conservative, very bigoted family member whose emails attack liberals, Jews, gays and basically anyone who isn't lilly-white and Protestant. Which is funny as all get out when you realize that this guys' family is made up of liberals, a handful of Jews, a couple of members who are gay and the family is Melungeon (aka seriously multi-racial) and he is constantly send email which are so easy to disprove it's pathetic. I sent an email back with corections and documentation and his son emailed me saying I shouldn't pick on his dad cause he's old. My response was, if you are young enough to send that type of propoganda you're young enough to handle reading the corrections.

My Rightwing sister-in-law occasionally sends me emails with, let's say the wingnut viewpoint. I use the term wingnut because the emails are lies and fabrications, but the sender doesn't care as long as it supplements their political viewpoint, hence wingnut.
I send her back corrections or links to the errors and then don't hear back for a while. The last one was a list that Robin Williams had supposedly penned here:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/williams.asp
and as I'm reading it and thinking, "You know I kinda know Robin WIlliams political views and these don't sound like Robin Williams!", so I went to Snopes and sure enough it was fake. I sent her the link and don't hear back for a while. My sister told me that this sis-in-law talked to her like she was just stunned that I actually checked the truth of something that she had sent me. There was a George Carlin one going around also and I corrected her on that one.
She apparently knows better than to send me the Obama stuff or anything like that.(c:
