Dirty Politics Can Be Quite a Bitch

August 11th, 2008 · 24 Comments

A couple months ago we were pressured to remove two stories from this website. Mainly because the chairperson of a state political party and their friend threatened the focus of those stories with defamation of character and other lawsuits.

We gave in because we don’t want to see someone innocent riddled with ridiculous lawsuits.

Then that state party chairperson made it a point to come after us and our bottom line. Naturally, that pissed off the bitter homosexual in me. So as a company we decided it was no longer prudent to give in to pressure. We republished the two stories. And we’ve made arrangements with a couple folks in the mainstream media to write stories about this pressurized blackmail-esque situation.

I’m loosely mentioning all this drama because I’d like to know how many of you, dear readers, would like to know the rest of this story and all the details that go along with it?

I know this is a tease… but I’ve learned patience is a virtue or whatever.

On a scale of 1-10, my level of care is a 2 or a 3. Just being real.

  • 5 jake // Aug 11, 2008 at 3:18 pm

It’s going to take down an entire political party and you don’t care?

    Interesting.

I want to know. I’m guessing it is the Democratic party you’re referring to? I am a registered Democrat but vote Republican when the Democratic candidate has no sense. I have been disenchanted with the local and state leadership of this party for some time, as they tend to come across as ignorant hillbillies more often than not.

If it involves a certain recount in a city/town just east of here, I want to know, but don’t want your fellow blogger harmed.

What will the Moonie Times of Kentucky bring us next? I’m sure it will be worthy of pulitzer prize.

  • 15 frankfort // Aug 11, 2008 at 6:17 pm

Absolutely people care! I want to know & I think it’s owed to any Democrat considering a run for public office….they need to know exactly what they will have to deal with at KDP.

  • 16 jake // Aug 11, 2008 at 7:58 pm

Someone has their friend at the Louisville Free Public Library make the comment at 6:02 P.M. Hrm… Who could that be? Who on earth from the Kentucky Democratic Party would know someone at a library that could make a comment for them?

    Nice on, JH.

Let’s face it, Kentucky politics is like one big high school with cliques, rumors (some true, some not) and hearing the juicy details is fun. But, if it’s really going to “take down an entire political party” and that will leave the GOP in total control, then I’m not sure I wanna know. They may be complete jacktards sometimes, but their “our” jacktards.

The KDP should definitely be held accountable, but the thought of David Williams in charge sends shivers down my spine. So, your call …

  • 18 jake // Aug 11, 2008 at 10:13 pm

Well, it won’t take down an entire political party. But definitely will cause a party’s leadership to be replaced.

    Check back tomorrow morning.

  • 19 vernon // Aug 11, 2008 at 10:29 pm

If it is about the KDP then lets hear it. The people running that place are an embarassment to the many good democrats in this commonwealth. They need to find another line of work. They sure don’t have a clue about how to run any political party. You would be doing the Democrats a very big favor if you could get that bunch canned.

I think this action, where a blogger writes a post saying “I HAVE VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND WILL TELL IT TO YOU LATER,” should be called “Pulling a Walter” from now on.

  • 21 jake // Aug 11, 2008 at 11:41 pm

Hey, I only asked if people were interested in hearing the rest of the story.

Don’t want to bore people or anything.

What in God’s name is wrong with you Jake. I follow many blogs some good, some not so good. This is by far the most ridiculous, and childish of the whole lot. You spent two weeks trying to convince everyone how truly connected to “insider stories”. Jake, the reason you are saving this “information” of yours probably has more to do with the fact that you haven’t taken the time to make one up. Your tone suggests that you take it pleases you to have people think you’re well-connected. Are you truly so sad and needy that you just keep making things up then beating them to death to enhance your political credentials? You are making this up as you go along. I know it, you know it, and my guess is a growing number of your “readers” are beginning to cease believing you. Your tell is the way you string people along. Let’s take a look at what you’ve done with this very cryptic story:

    1. “I’m loosely mentioning all this drama because I’d like to know how many of you, dear readers, would like to know the rest of this story and all the details that go along with it?
I know this is a tease…” Funny, I was thinking the same. It’s a tease for a non-story. I doubt you’ve had time to make up facts to support your story. (Reminds me of the Downing Street Memo…truth must be bent to make the facts fit the policy, of the story.)

    2. “Candid Talk Responded to you with this”
    “No one cares.”

    Your prepubescent reply to “Candid”
That’s what you think/wish (Holy shit!! You really nailed him there!)

    TJ Wrote
On a scale of 1-10, my level of care is a 2 or a 3. Just being real.

    Then your paranoid, hysterical response:
“It’s going to take down an entire political party and you don’t care?” In other words: “The sky is falling!!”
Cheap dramatics, nothing more. The party will outlive me, it will outlive you, it will thrive as long as there is a United States of America. How do I know you‘re all talk? Because it is all you do. Because you know there are people who want to hear you big “secret.” You’d reveal it if you had anything to reveal.

    “On down you say the following: “Hold your horsies! I’ll spill it in a couple days.” (horsies??);

Then you flip-flopped and said this: Well, it won’t take down an entire political party. But definitely will cause a party’s leadership to be replaced. Check back tomorrow morning.” Nonsense!! (Can you make up something by morning??) Keep up the stall tactics and you’ll lose your disciples, that much I do know.

Then there was this passive-aggressive gem: “Hey, I only asked if people were interested in hearing the rest of the story.“ Don’t want to bore people or anything.” Maybe you should find some of these people and hold your breath till they beg you to tell them your phony story. It would fit your profile.

Sloppy work Jake-O!! Keep you lies straight from now on.

  • 23 jake // Aug 12, 2008 at 7:59 am

    My lies? Riiight.

    Enjoyed Dallas lately, sweetie?

    Jacob –

I am here requesting in writing the same I asked of you on the phone yesterday, and for the same reasons, to remove this post from your blog.
