  It’s important to get the facts out about the difference between Todd Hollenbach and Trey Greyson. Todd Hollenbach has demonstrated what Trey Greyson has not, the ability to reject an endorsement that he found distasteful rather than trying to play both ends.

  As for the post in question, Jake never bothered to call the KDP or Todd Hollenbach before continuing to spread this misinformation about Todd Hollenbach (information that has been shared with him before). It was perfectly acceptable for it to be posted from here; though, for the record, it did not come from me directly.

  And Jake is well aware that any time I’ve taken issue with something he’s posted I’ve always addressed it with him directly. I wish he had extended that same courtesy to me today.

  Trey Grayson DID reject the endorsement of Frank Simon – in October 2007. Todd wrote a letter that he REFUSED to let David Hawpe of the Courier-Journal publish or mention. Todd REFUSED to publicly renounce Frank Simon on mulitple occasions with Joe Sonka and myself. I HAVE called Todd Hollenbach and I HAVE met with him in person.

  There is no misinformation here. I have emails, personal experiences, witnesses to back me up.

  You’re full of shit, Thom. I just outed you as being a slanderer. Don’t play stupid. You, Jennifer, Jeremy, everyone at KDP should be ashamed. Now that you’re caught red-handed you try to play nice.

  Trey once again reaffirmed his denouncement of Simon over coffee with me in early 2008.

  Now it seems to me that the KDP’s job is to promote D’s and bust on R’s when they can. (Two things they haven’t really done a great job of for the last …. oh 15 years or so … especially the latter.) As far as that goes, I guess it is good to see them doing that, even if the effort might be piss-poor.

  However, personally attacking Jake for having an opinion shouldn’t be part of it. Period. A party should strive to be above those kind of things, especially when coming from an “official” source.

  However, it also occurs to me that it is very easy to renouce someone to one offended person and still reap the public benefits of having the individual’s endorsement. (I doubt many Simon supporters read progressive blogs.) So, in essence, Trey was doing the ultimate political two-step – mollifying a critic whilst keeping the base happy – something he is pretty darned good at.

  Hollenbach could (and should have) put all of this to rest pretty easily long ago. He’s brought it upon himself and should deal with it himself rather than have the party take up for him. As for what we’ve seen from him so far, he’s not been very impressive and is not making a very good case for any sort of promotion in the next few years.

  I’m fine with people attacking me. Totally fine with it. Just not fine with petty, anonymous slander and people who then lie about it.

  People should at least have the balls to slander people with their own name or avoid it entirely.

  I don’t mean that I don’t welcome anonymous discussion and criticism. But slanderous personal attacks? Especially from an entity that’s done nothing but deceive and play good old boy politics for the past eight months? I don’t play that game. There’s no place for it.

  Thom Karmik is a liar. Todd Hollenbach never renounced the endorsement. And I and many others asked repeatedly to his face. HE DID NOT.

  What a bunch of idiots at KDP headed by Jennifer Moore. How embarrassed Steve Beshear & his Democratic army of legislators must be since this is a direct reflection on the Governor & Democratic legislators! Now seeing what has happened with slanderous comments & lies, we must assume that Beshear is going to act on this right away, right? Perhaps the rallying cry needs to be, “No More Moore!”

  Several of the past state central members of the KDP declined to remain on the committee because of the mess thatn prevailed at KDP Hqs. The Governor had been appraised of the mess that existed as early as March by more than one person close to the situation. I hope this latest revelation will speed up the changes that are needed to right the party before all the donations dry up and they have to shut the doors. I suggest Jake use his connections to find out just what the financial situation is at the KDP. I strongly suspect that they have serious financial problems.

  As far as I know, the only cash coming in is from candidates who are running for office and from the DSCC for the coordinated campaign. I know the DS has spent at least $100,000 so far.

  There are also a couple DNC salaries to pay for some staffers.

  But fundraising? There’s nothing substantial.

  I’ll have more on the KDP once I’m over this malaria or whatever.

I know phony photoshopped “evidence” when I see it because I’ve used that trick myself. I may have been born on a Sunday but it wasn’t this past Sunday.   My credibility? You’re assuming I really care what some dipstick in Bowling Green who can’t form a sentence thinks.

  Photoshopping an IP address? Riiight. That’s some horse shit. You’re free to examine the 30 or so emails I’ve received from Thom Karmik along with the header information for those emails, in addition to the comments left by Karmik and “I heart Trey.”

  In addition to YOUR argument being horse shit, take a look at the full screenshot of the comment HERE and look at Karmik’s header information HERE.

  I’m not the one who is sitting here embarrassed. Because I’m sure my readers give two shits about what some commenter who can’t properly form paragraphs happens to think. Especially when they’re some self-proclaimed photoshop expert.

  Oh– and I WISH I was drunk when I wrote what I wrote. It probably would have been colorful and offensive to people like you.

  For Walter: Whispering in my ear? I was hardly a Grayson supporter in October 2007, as is evidenced on this site.. And if you bother reading, his campaign made the statement to me and I published it for all to see. Maybe you or Mark (a Grayson supporter) should call Trey to ask him about his renouncement of Simon’s endorsement.

  Well that certainly was a nice long rant about nothing. Your rhetorical temper tantrum is very telling.

  Perhaps most telling is that you seem to feel the need to continue defending your claims. If you were being truthful at all, you wouldn’t still be talking about this no matter what I or anyone else has to say. Your defensive language indicates a desperate need to convince everyone, including yourself, that you are on the side of the angels.

  Your defensiveness also indicates that despite claims to the contrary, you cannot handle criticism at all. This is not uncommon people who are frightened that their fraud will be exposed.

  When I first examined your “work” I was very angry that anyone would piss away their free time lying to people whom they’ll never know and insulting those they do.

  Having partially been the subject of your temper tantrum, I now feel a sense of pity for you. Your victims are largely unharmed given that you are not well known. I’m sure that is difficult to take given that you seem to feed on validation by consensus.

  I think perhaps you need to seek help. Failing that I would recommend that you take yoga classes so that you might gain the necessary dexterity to stick your head up your ass.

  And now I shall take my leave lest I should see your name appear on yet another post. That’s the signal to me that more feculant blather has been spewed onto this site. And while I get that you are driven by deep psychological issues, I do not have time to match wits with the witless.
